Has anyone replaced gas struts that hold up rear compartment door ? If so please share info. Thanks

For the Transom Hatch parts manual says:

we just replaced our TAPPAN with a Breville 3-in-one combo.Just had to remove the rubber feet to get ot to slide in and then reinstalled them from the bottom once installed.
Was it difficult to get the old one out? Did you have to take any framing off and if so how did you access it?

Thanks to Shaps and JB for the info . Struts ordered and on the way.

Just remove the drawer below the microwave and remove the 4 bolts holding it in place. The old unit just slids out.You need to remove the rubber feet on the new unit, insert it into the opening(no mods req'd) and the re-install the rubber feet from below.A very easy install.

Well... I did it..
I defrosted the salon refrigerator with my heat gun and now the compressor is short cycling and it doesn't get cold.
Marine service company said they can't service it, just need to replace it. Without digging through all the pages here can you guys who have replaced their refrigerators please let me know what you replaced it with? Thank you...
Of course, I am about to start a 4 day trip... Wifey very happy with me... NOT

Thank you!

You just tell her it had to be done and if she doesn’t like it she can pickup a screw driver and help in the solution. I’m sure she will see that she’s being unreasonable and quickly apologize for any poor attitude on her part. What are you a man or a mouse.

Just kidding of course. Please don’t tell “she who must be obeyed” about my little joke.

This always gives my pause when I see this or "happy wife, happy life" posted.
Do people actually live like this?

I had my original ice maker break…the marina pulled it and took it to a guy. He said anything can be fixed but sometimes the repair price doesn’t justify…. My ice maker was $200 and turned it around in 24hours… well worth it in my case

Yes 2600 is the model… Just talked to Dave. I hope he can find one as supply chain is a bitch right now for everything it seems

The issue is that is a DC only unit with a converter…. Not the real AC DC unit he needs

Looks like all the new units are DC and have an AC/DC converter included.
Ia there a different model I should look at?
The one @Jaybeaux highlighted is the one everyone seems to have.
Thank you!

Edit:
All of the descriptions include something to this effect:
Note: This DC only unit is supplied with an AC converter module (model no. 7806-0001)

I'm watching this like a hawk....the Admiral wants the freezer defrosted this weekend as we are leaving on a 3 week trip on Aug 12th!!! She's been made aware of the pitfalls of defrosting.

When I replaced the power module on my frigde on my 420, I remember that it was a simple logic problem: If AC available, send AC to unit; if not, send DC. Is this essentially how this unit with "converter" is designed to work?
