Hoping for some advice here...

On my main DC panel in my cabin I have the port and strbd battery switches there; they both work great to turn on and get 12v power to the breakers/boat. Over the last few weeks when I am leaving the boat and go to turn off the strbd side switch, the switch doesnt shut down the power (port works fine). Does this sound like a solenoid issue? I pulled the manuals up and it appears the solenoids are in the engine room compartment located in one of the boxes on the fwd bulkhead. I looked at the diagram for that particular box and it only list the port battery solenoid.... any advice on where I should start?

Following because mine occasionally does the same thing. I suspect the solenoid is sticking, but it's low on my list at the moment.

It’s either the solenoid or the switch that powers it. You could swap switches (port to starboard and see what happens. I leave mine on all season, only turn off when I winterize

Do you also have battery switches in the engine compartment and do those work?

My guess is it is actually the switch on the electrical panel. I had to replace both of mine on a previous boat due to not turning off the batteries unless I pressed them numerous times. The battery switches in the bilge worked fine.

Yes, thanks for mentioning that... I will be at the boat tomo and will go into the eng compartment and cycle those switches... side note, I did purchase a new switch yesterday, should be here in a few days. I will probably swap that one into place and see if that helps...

Thanks to all for the help!!
