Give a shout to Rusty Higgins aka Capt. Rusty
You can probably find some Great Loop captains that are closer to that area as well.

I know someone that lives in Chesterfield Mich (Goulette Point Dr.) who is a boat captain. I'd trust him with my life. (Coming from some random internet person FWIW.) If you don't have any luck I can contact him and see if he's willing to move the boat from point A to point B.

Approx. 120nm @ 20kts, 6+ hours ? I assume some is no wake zone. Buy me a plane ticket and overnight hotel...

What? You can’t tent camp and hitch hike back?

If you do find a captain for them I would suggest they do a ride along with the captain for some invaluable experience.
I would agree with this, and for a shorter trip that may be possible.

A friend of mine just bought a boat in Alaska and hired a captain to run it down to Seattle where they are based. He asked if he could ride along to get to learn the boat, and was told no. The captain and his wife are licensed and insured for them only, and they have a routine that adding an inexperienced person would probably disrupt. They did agree to turn the boat over in Everett, so my friend was able to cruise it the last 30 miles home.

I'd find a different Captain... F** that.

This is my marina. If I knew that Erie would be flat I’d do it in a heartbeat. Just curious why the buyer can’t take it?

I would run the boat for them but after title transfer THe boats not mine and it becomes s liability to them and me SO HENCE THE CAPTAIN !!
