I am a new 2021 SPX 190 (w/ Inboard/Outboard) Owner (and a new boat owner in general) and I was wondering if there were any owners of the SPX 190 that had tips on things that we need to be aware of or look out for (i.e. warnings sounds, hints, tips, etc.) as a new owner? I know this is a general question, but any information would be helpful. Thank you and happy to have joined the club!

We have a 2021 SPX 210 stern drive. I will try to answer any specific questions you have. Welcome to the boating family.

Congratulations. Post some pics of your new vessel.

Thanks for the welcome! I don't have specific questions at the moment, but will be sure to ask when they come up. Attached is a pic of the new boat when we made the purchase recently. Thank you again!

anyone having issues with air voids and chipping occurring near the bench seat near the cupholders. Will these chips be covered under warranty? 2021 spx 190 OB

I do have one question that came up. What is the best way to hook up and pull a towable (AIRHEAD Big Mable) with the SPX 190 with a Bimini top? I know that it has a center tow point in the back but I thought I read that it was not good to pull towables from that point. Any tips?

Use the tow ring one the transom, that is what it is for. Never pull tubes from the tower. if the front of the tube goes under water, the load can be extreme, and damage your tower.

They make a tow bridle, check Academy / Overtons / Amazon. you can use the stern cleats and get a higher tow point on some boats. Also , some people like the "Airhead Booster Ball", it keeps the rope out of the water.

I have another question. On my SPX 190 I have been able to connect to the Mercury VesselView app, but I find that the unit/app disconnects and reconnects frequently. Is there a way to make it so the VesselView connection is more stable?

Congratulations on the new boat! Like ranmhall said about the towing. Use the ring on the transom. If you had the outboard version of your boat you should use a bridle because on those they have a ski pylon(pole) That definitely should NOT be used for towing big tubes, only for water skiing purposes. Welcome to CSR. Also here is a good thread for you to browse.http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php?threads/official-19spx-21spx-spx190-spx210-thread.81557/

To follow up, I was able to solve the VesselView connection issues. The VesselView module was zip tied to the engine and had interference from the engine. I simply moved the module further away from the engine and that solved the problem.
