Hi fellow Sea Ray owners,

I have several question being a new member to this awesome site. I have a 2004 Sundancer and the water heater with heat exchanger needs to be replaced...I am finding that the options at Seaward or Kumma but I am finding that the depths of these heaters are 19"+ and the original one (Atwood EHM-6-SM) is no longer being manufactured. The only thing I can think to do is to redirect my third battery and move the trim system further out to allow the additional space! Any other thoughts??

Kumma should be smaller?
Kumma models are now 19"+ deep
Seawards are the only one that are 19" exactly but if you know the size of the area....this is 3.75" deeper

Please tell me what you eventually used to replace the Atwood EHM6-SM. I replaced mine with the identical unit, but this week water leaked on the circuitry and fried it. Now I will have to switch to Seaward f600w or the Kuma, I guess. The actual box on the Atwaood was 13x13x16deep. They quote 19" deep on the replacements, but I think that includes control cover and the relief valve. What did you find?

The Kuuma 6 gallon was a direct drop-in for my Atwood 6 gallon. I don't recall the dimensions of either (replaced last year) but can confirm there was nowhere near a 3" difference in depth of the unit.
