My 200- 380da has a din size radio mounted in the cockpit dash, just below me gps.

what is going to be the best way to install the 770. I have installed 100 radios over the years, but all were 1 or double din….

It appears by the specs, the fusion 770 is a little taller and wider, I am picturing using a multi tool to get it to fit. Or maybe a dreamer with a cutting blade.

here is the replacement piece to show the reference of what I will be cutting

Thanks in advance!

I would pull that panel and tape it off and mark what needs to be cut and use a saber saw (jig saw) to remove the section of panel.

That said It may be really close, is the radio you are replacing 1 or 2 din? I believe the 770 cut is 2-1/16 x 6-9/16. Single din is basically 2 x 7.

EDIT: You may be better off replacing that whole panel if the 770 is the only thing in it.

Its a single din. It looks like there is a kit for the adaptor, but it looks very close also. eventually i plan to move this down below and replace the clarion and changer piece out, then spend the $80 to replace the radio panel out, moving the marine radio and maybe the triple display to that... then split the switches to 2 stacks of 10 on each side and squeeze a 9 or 10" mdf in the center.... that's the plan, slowly though... lol

I installed this unit, along with ms-erx400 remote. I needed some extra length on the factory cable. I bought a shielded cat 7 patch cable along with a shielded coupler, works really good.
I can say, I love the 4 zones. To adjust it’s just crazy how handy it is. I think I will break my cockpit into 3 zones and make the salon it’s own…. In the cockpit, I will have the 2 forward speakers for zone 1. 2 pair in the arch for zone 2, then the 2 I’m facing the rear platform for zone 3. Then when my wife is in the boat, it won’t be too loud for her, and plenty to the swimmers….

it was a grand for the new head unit/remote but well worth it imo

If your solon has a stand-alone audio system, then that 4th zone can be set up as constant voltage (disable the Fusion volume control for that zone) and you can feed the solon audio system music from the Fusion but it's volume, balance, and tone control is controlled by the solon system.
I set it up that way with the Bose cabin system.
