The boat is being very mean this year

lost forward head…ended up being the hose had hose replaced

lost port engine starter solenoid

master stateroom 1 year old AC unit lost Freon….sent back to factory for repair

lost pressure switch on one year old shurhold fresh water pump

go to start this past Friday and port batteries dead….replacing this week.

lost 1 yr old salon Ac unit Friday….troubleshoot and transformer is bad…..replacement coming

Today aft head won’t reach vac pressure

Saturday cockpit ice maker goes…. Won’t get below 42 degrees

forward master hatch started leaking today

I tell you….. testing my patience right now
 
I feel your pain. As I’m sitting at my helm getting a tow in.

As a friend of mine says, it’s a boat. So many thing can fail at any time. It’s the fun of learning how to fix it all…he is kinda a half glass full kinda guy
 
I hear ya.. so far this year, a new HVAC and installed a new power supply on the galley refrigerator. Just waiting for the next shoe to drop!

A tough season! Definitely more than your fair share of issues. Hope there get resolved soon.
 
As long as these are not repeating issues, the answer is how many things are there to break? The more items that get rebuilt or replaced that is one item that won’t fail for a while anyway. Not meant to be a constructive answer just reality check that boating is unpredictable but all told, fun just the same.

Sorry I could not resist. When I have had those kind of boat moments, that is my favorite line.

I feel your pain - I ended up pulling a rebuilt motor for a factory warranty on one of those days.

I tell my friends owning a boat is not for the faint of heart.

That's a lotta 1 year old things not working. That would be the most frustrating part for me!

My generator is in pieces right now...but at least I can still use the head while enjoying the crisp 68 degree air :):)
 
Blueone... I would say it is Karma. LOL. just kidding.

Sorry to hear all that is going on. That makes for a frustrating season.

I have to remind myself that my boat is 21 years old and shit is going need to be replaced.

My home is 20 years old and it is the same. I have been on a rebuild/ replace mode for the last two years.

I feel for you. Especially considering that you folks have a finite season and this really eats into it. I'd be a pretty pissed puppy at this point.

Good luck. As long as you get one AC and one crapper working there's still hope.

I sort of lost it with marineaire on Friday when the guy was sending me to purchasing to buy the transformer. I said it should be under warranty. He said you are 6 days out of warranty. I lost it and said fuck a few times. He said do you not think I hear this kind of language all day long….. he didn’t speak English very well he says shit this shit that shit shit shit all day long…… he goes ok I will give you the transformer….. you have to laugh

I thought of you and this thread 35 minutes ago. I just paid a plumber $602 to have a sprinkler backflow device repaired exactly 14 months after paying $1300 to have it installed, new. I got a little fired up...and I blame this thread entirely.

This kind of conversation is clearly bad luck. I'm out! :)

I had a plumber disconnect my sprinkler system and send a paper into the state so I didn’t have to have a back flow test every year. I told him to leave enough pipe to hook it back up again :)
