Engine hatch wont open. 2004 Sundancer. I know this has been posted a lot but I have a couple of questions before I get to the point of pulling pins and manually opening. Batteries are fully charged. I hear no actuator noise when pushing the up switch, all other switches on the pad work fine. Rear door is latched open. I have reached inside and pushed the breaker. It doesn't seem to have tripped. Is it easy to tell when they have? I assume it would have popped out. Could it be the cockpit door sensor? Where is this located and does it have a fuse that could have blown? The last thing I can think of is to test the switch for power. Any other ideas or suggestions would be appreciate. Thanks, Grant.

What happens if you push the down switch? Any motor noise then?

Did this happen all of a sudden? Or was it intermittent before?

Nothing with the down switch either. Happened all of a sudden. Was working a couple of weeks ago.

Do you mean the rear door is latched “closed”? If it’s open the hatch won’t work.

pull the sensor in the door and check that first. Known issue that they go bad. Little round peg inserted into the fiberglass behind the swinging door.

An update. Had my daughter shake the cockpit door back and forth across the sensor while pressing the hatch up button and started working. Now all working fine. Must have just needed a little persuasion.

That is good to know! I wasn't sure if the 320 had the door switch lockout:
