Considering changing from rope to chain on my 310DA. Wondering if the added weight ( 1 lb per foot, so 130 pounds roughly) would help me get on plane faster when I have a boat load of ppl.

If you can plane easier by sending a person fully forward in your cabin, you may expect similar results from all chain rode. If not, nope.

I have a 340 and I just added 200ft of Anchor chain, because I don't like when people run over my rode and maybe keep the bow down a little while on plane... And I know it never slips coming up...

I did every 25ft Red, White & Blue, Yellow marks 100ft and then it starts over..

Went to 250’ of all chain over the winter. Unfortunately, no noticeable difference in getting on plane as I hoped. Love the all-chain set-up on the hook, for sure…

I just did new anchor chain last month. The thread about anchor chain rusty and starting to flake prompted me to change out.

Marked the first 8-10 feet, an 8-10 foot stretch in the middle, then the last 10 or so feet.
