What chair(s) do you keep on the boat to use on the dock, and why did you chose it?

Thanks

The Yeti Hondo is my go-to for cockpit and dockside (transient) seating. Easier to store than a bag chair though the Yeti soft chairs are more comfy...

The cheapest chairs possible….. I have two free bag chairs from a guest who didn’t want them back…… we rarely use them. They are under the floor….don’t take up any room….perfect

The crazy expensive West Marine Kingfish II because my wife liked the way they look for our dock neighbors...

We have two of the Geralick dock chairs, expensive but very durable.

Looking to get two folding teak chairs for the aft cock pit that fold into a smaller size to store when traveling

I have a pair of aluminum/fabric deck chairs. I like them because they are lighter and less bulky than the regular deck chairs.

We love these very storable and easy to carry portable chairs. Stows under one of our cockpit seat’s. A bit expensive but well worth it to have for a long time.

Those Yeti chairs are NICE and look to be incredible quality. I'd be a worried they'd walk off the dock when I wasn't watching them.

Yeah...it took a lot of thinking (and a few beers) to pull the trigger. But I was replacing $50 Coleman chairs every other year. If I can get a little more life out of these things they might approach 50% of being worth it :)

If any of you guys are in Michigan I'm trying to sell a Kingfish chair, mint condition. It's just taking up space in my garage.

Bag chairs in the cockpit, no docky seaty. Unless there is no transient on the outside-then the dock IS MINE, MINE I'll tell ya. Then it's bag chairs on the dock. Stowed on the bridge in front of the helm. I like 'em and they stow good.

Whatever your pleasure!

We have 2 different sets of chairs on the boat, flybridge and cockpit. When we are not on the boat we store the flybridge chair inside the enclosure. When we get to the boat, one of the first things is to move them out of flybridge enclosure to what we call the balcony. They stay there as long as we are on the boat.

These are probably at least 3 years old and have held up well. Other than an occasional loose bolt - great chairs. They are heavy though. They do not leave the flybridge, just from the inside to the outside. Very comfortable, would buy again.

The second set stay in the cockpit while we are on the boat. When we leave we fold them up and put them in the salon.

Had these 3-4 years. Would buy them again. Only maintenance has been rubbing some teak oil on every year. Actually pretty lightweight, I have moved these off to the dock before. Not a big deal to move around.

We sit on the boat. Why sit on the pier.

Me too. Maybe I’m missing something?

I go to a lot of high school baseball and lacrosse games and see a ton of GCI Outdoors rocker camp chairs. They have one that folds down very small like those bag chairs, but is very comfy. I’d likely get one of those if I were going to sit on the dock with any frequency.

We purchased Pico chairs from West Marine. They collapse into a laptop sized bag and store easily under our cockpit seat.
