what’s inside hard line Pro-Choicer

And In many cases, threatened with your livelihood. Could you imagine if it was that way with abortion.

Here in Chicago they can't open the pools and beaches because they don't have enough lifeguards. One of the requirement -- vaccinated and boosted. For a fkg job that you sit outside in the sun all day. Stupid is as stupid does.
If I had not got the vaccine it would have ended my career thanks to Biden (extortion?)

Just saw Elizabeth Warren on TV saying they need to add more justices to the Supreme Court. Why? Cause you can't get your way legitimately? So change the rules?

My point is the hypocrisy. They are protesting 'my body, my choice' but those same protestors are saying we should have no say in whether or not we get vaxxed.
Yeah I get it. If it is the exact same people that are both pro-vax and support abortion. Some are, no doubt. But not all. There are those at both extremes (left AND right) that don't vary from the "party line". Then there are the vast majority that think for themselves and vote based on a total package of ideals and will chose the politicians that best reflect their views, knowing that it will be imperfect.

And keep in mind the hypocrisy also exists for those that are anti-vax because they say my body, my choice, but then say that a woman's body is not her choice. There are two sides to every mouth.

A baby is not the mothers body. It has its own DNA (not the mothers) and there are plenty of ways to avoid pregnancy. SCOTUS recent ruling did not ban abortion so I'm not sure why everyone is up in arms. It was a win for the Constitution but the sheep only parrot what they are told...

There are many more people that can think for themselves and can see BS when they see it.... doesn't seem like the vaxxed are doing so well up in Canada...

I told you guys I find abortion morally wrong. So I guess I am pro-life. I also understand they leave it to the states to decide, which is fair.

You can turn this into a vax thread if you want. I don't care. The death rate in the US was one of the highest in the developed world and MUCH higher than Canada. Maybe its our cleaner air.

THIS bugs me. 2 of my engineer employees, who were 100% field/remote workers, I hired them that way, they never had to come into an office, 100% WFH, were let go because they refused to get vaccinated.

I didn't bring the vax into this thread, I was responding to your comment.

It's a states issue, not a federal issue - SCOTUS said they do not have the power on this issue so they left it to the states. If only more gov't agencies would do the same, except they are power hungry. The dems are turning this into an abortion issue...

When you figure out our gov't didn't do things to help save people, you'll understand our death rate...

Back to the scheduled topic though...

Woody, the same site and the same graph shown as deaths per 100,000 population. The one you posted was deaths per COVID case. You have the best health care system in the world which kept the other stat low. But a LOT more people got COVID in the US and a LOT MORE died as a % of your population:

I read this morning that the crazy cat ladies are going on a sex strike over the SCOTUS decision. Maybe if they were on strike more often they wouldn't have to worry about their uterine walls being scraped up as doctors puncture baby skulls. Just a thought.

I have been working from home for 6 years before COVID even hit the U.S. and only go into the office maybe once every 2 or 3 years and was still 'forced'. Had I not I would have lost my gov't contracted position. I am a Sr Cyber Security Engineer. So where am I to find a job with less than 100 employees in my field? Very highly unlikely as it is a very specialized field and as such pretty much only large firms/corporations have any on their payroll. Basically ending my career. Thanks Brandon!

It has been well discussed that COVID cases weren't treated until folks were on their death bed. And they threw all sorts of deaths in that number. My fully vaxxed brother, has COVID again. What a marvelous vaccine!

We get it @Creekwood, COVID is still top of mind for you. Sounds like you'd fit right in, in Michigan, where the have installed permanent social distancing signs at the playground and recommend masking while your indoor public places!

Back to this topic....I'll never understand those that want to kill their unborn offspring. Pregnancy is easy to prevent...

Now that it's an issue given back to the states, let the blue states continue to abort their offspring and eventually they will disappear...

Well jeepers that's what you referred to, the death rate from Covid. The US rate is 1.2, Canada's is 1.1. Of course the body count is higher, we have a much larger population, more people got Covid. It shouldn't be a surprise that some of the largest populations on earth also had some of the highest case counts.

This is what part of the US population died .0031, Canada is .0011 or .31% and .11%. Maybe we both did pretty good.

A person should compare countries with caution, there are many and varied reasons for the outcomes each has. One of the simplest being high population density areas. I know you like to jab at the Gorilla that lives below but I mean, come on man, otherwise you might have to explain how Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan all did better than Canada.;)

If you're upset about Roe v. Wade, just buy an electric vehicle. I drove mine past a PP clinic and didn't have to stop once.

I was in healthcare IT for 35 years. In Q1 of 2020 my employer, a privately funded IT company in Marina Del Rey, CA, thought it a good idea to mandate vaccines. I was their SVP, hired to lead a re-execution and growth initiative. Long story short, I quit, changed industries and reengineered my entire lifestyle to accommodate working in a different passion.

I know not everyone, most, can't do what I did, nor are willing to make the sacrifices necessary to stand on principle but I would do it all over again if I had to.

There was no way I was putting that technology in my body.
