410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

will do! The silicone was an insane move and totally unnecessary. Proper bedding in plumbers putty and the rubber gasket that came with this new drain sealed perfecrly fine. It’s like someone at SR had stock in silicone when these boats were assembled

Yes. When I replaced the 2 in each head floor, I went back exactly as you describe and never a drip. They use crazy amounts of silicone.

I finally completed my look and got the flag up top. I know it’s supposed to be on the transom and I was going to put it on the hatch door rail but I much prefer it up there. A day late for flag day….

Looks like you have that attached to the anchor light pole? Has anyone replaced the pole mine is worn out and it's lose. I've tried a new rivet and continues to get lose and lean. I really like to replace it but can't find a good replacement that would miss the radar. TIA

I had this as well. I bought clear rubber hose (reinforced), cut a 2" section +/-, slit it lengthwise and shoved it over the joint at the anchor light connection. Hose clamps on both sides, get it lined up, clamp the clamps super tight. This has kept my anchor light up and straight for 3 years now.

Can someone please tell me size and number of duck bills I need for my aft head? I am on the boat. My notes are at home and I want to have them waiting for me when I get home thank you.

I accidentally posted this in another thread. Can anyone with a 400 please give me some air conditioner advice. I need to replace the salon ac this week. My son is coming home on leave and wants to come out on the boat. I have a stock 12000btu unit that is now officially junk.i need to order it by tomorrow evening. Also could use some advice on accessing duct for aft head and aft stateroom. I am sure it is moly and old. Any advise on purchasing or smoothing the process along is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Stee, I'm definitely doing this. This thing is driving me crazy.

I think it’s finally time to replace my fresh water pump which, as you can tell from the date stamped on it in the attached photo, is the original pump. Perhaps this is a silly question but how do I disconnect the wires? As you can also see in the picture, the connection has a hard plastic sheath around it and I don’t see how to disconnect. Do the wires need to be cut and spliced together again?

Also, for those who have replaced their pumps, do you have any recommendations on manufacturer, GPM, etc.?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Yes, cut and re-crimp like dtfeld said. I replaced mine and went with the next size/GPM bigger (can't remember exactly which one) but don't notice much difference. I didn't want to take a chance causing a leak somewhere with to much pressure.

I just replace my 16k btu with a Citi Marine CTM. I installed and it was a little different connection wise, but it pumps a lot of cold air and the new touch screen thermostat is very nice.

My only complaint is that the way it’s designed and packaged, it’s susceptible to damage in shipping. On the plus side, customer service was great, and shipping was fast…2 days to GA. Also, they have a 2 year warranty.

Price wise, it’s a couple hundred more than Marinair, and about $1k less than the Dometic unit.

Marinair only has a 1 year Warranty and Citi was pretty blunt about them having leak issues after a year or so.

Has anyone replaced the air conditioning duct that supplies the aft head and aft birth? Any advice is welcome

Hey guys, anyone happen to have some extra hull striping they are sitting on. I want to repair a few nicks in my waterline stripes and the hull stripes folks want a minimum of 30 feet to setup their machine. If anyone has a recommendation for someone that would sell by the foot too, that would be great. I need black and gold would love the color names to get started. Mine is a 98 and here is the stripe pattern. I swear I recommended a company that sells them by the foot over the years...

Just as a follow up to this, I called Dan Frazier and he sold out of these a year or so ago. Great guy to chat with, thanks so much for the lead!

Found one at this place, its an RV dealer in Arizona and it is being shipped to me as we speak.

Just a follow up here for anyone having generator starting problems. The Monoplex I bought from Pacific RV Mirrors was plug and play into the wiring harness, and accompanied with a new solenoid now my generator fires up with ease when it’s cold!!
