Put the boat in today but the air isn't working. The condensing unit is running and fans blowing but the pump will not kick on...doesn't even try. Dock neighbor said there should be a reset on top of the condensing unit and says the fans etc will still run if that is tripped? My unit is behind a panel but tried taking the screws out of the panel with a screwdriver and was stripping the screws so gonna take my screw gun down tomorrow to pull that off. Also gonna take my volt meter to check for voltage at the pump and at the 'reset button' if there is one.

Any other ideas? The manuals say it is a Cruisair unit and the pump is a Dometic

First thing I would check is if the pump is primed. You need water to/in the pump to get it to work.

Should have mentioned that. Yep I loosened the screen cup to purge any air out. And as far as I could tell the pump never turned on. I do know the pump isn't even trying to turn on now. Not positive about the first time we tried kicking it on. It worked fine last season and the pump is only 3 years old.

Tomorrow gonna try to check that reset first then start checking for power at specific points. After that will start pulling hoses and making sure there are no clogs.

Wouldn't the pump try to kick on even if there is air in it?

Have you put a meter to it to see if the pump is receiving power up signal? At the pump and also at the trigger control?

not yet. didn't have one with me last night. gonna try that today

Sounds like no power to the AC pump. I'm assuming you flipped the breaker for AC pump to on? I believe the pump should still be running to try to circulate raw water even if its not primed. Gotta be a "power" issue at the pump. PLEASE let us know once you've tested power.

Just 1 unit. So checked the board and have 120v to the inlet side. The condensing unit turns on and fans blow but doesn’t sound like compressor tries to come on. But checked for power back to the pump and there is no power out to it

That first pic is the box with the control board inside. Oddly I can’t find a breaker anywhere for this but doubt that is the issue since the unit powers up? Can’t find any resets either

What about power in the engine room at the circulating pump itself?
Not likely. I checked the power wire at the board end and no power going to that wire. Don’t want to undo electric connections in engine room if I don’t have to. But with no power at other end of that wire I’d say there is none at the pump either

My system has a setting that only runs the pump if the compressor is running. If your compressor isn't coming on, maybe that's the problem?

What controller/display do you have and what is on the display?

Compressor is kicking in. Just verified that. Can hear it kick on

Tried a factory reset on the control panel too as per the manual.

Sounds like a bad board since no power to pump?
That’s what I’m wondering. Got to do more troubleshooting to verify though. Not even sure what part number it might be but could probably figure it out

oh...never saw any error codes either but not to say that none flashed when i was at the unit.
