I’ve got a bent hatch window support arm. The Taylor Made replacement is ordered but how do I deal with what appears to be a rivet attaching the arm to the frame? Is there a tool? Anybody replaced theirs? Need guidance….

Maybe try a pop rivet? Tool and rivets available at most hardware stores.

I have have a similar broken foot on my 340SDA Hatch. I contacted Taylormade regarding the part a season ago and was told that the "trapezoidal" hatches are Sea Ray specific and the parts could only be acquired through a dealer.

What you are looking at it the "back" side of the rivet so I believe the repair will involve removing the frame to be able to reinstall the rivet on a new foot. Which is why I have not yet replaced mine.

Have you actually done this hatch arm repair/replacement Bennett? Is drilling out that rivet the way the arm comes off the frame?

I assisted a friend with the same issue on a 340DA. Removed the rivet and went back with a SS screw.

Hmmm....so if this is the back side of a rivet holding the hatch arm to the window frame, can you drill the backside of a pop rivet and expect it to release like when you drill out the front side?

Kevin or anyone else that can offer help….this pic shows the part (foot?) I need. These little frame mounts do NOT come with the Taylor Made Ultra II support arm I ordered. Does anyone have information on these?

For those that need the part it can be ordered through Cathy Earhardt, the parts manager at Marinemax Huntington, LI and she can get the part from Taylormade for $67.63 plus tax. Her number 631-956-4705. She was a great help!

Yes, I’m delaying replacement too since the only long term option is remove entire hatch frame. I hack sawed the rivets and then attached one side of the arm with an insert and screw then partially got a insert and screw on the side where support blocks access to hole. It works but I have to gently open hatch.
