For whatever reason, if I put my genny on it’s own full charged battery, leaving the genny on auto, (not running) it will kill a starting battery in a couple of hours. To use it I have to parallel it to my port starter batter.
Any ideas?

I know there is a fuse on the front of the unit that if blown, will prevent it from charging the battery, but to sit there and kill the battery….no clue.

I would think you could check this by pulling that fuse…and then see if it drains the battery…

I will check that. I read somewhere in the manual, that in the AUTO mode, the Circuit remains active. I can see the hours led stays on for a while. But then not sure about the draw after it goes to sleep.

2nd round of related discussion.
So, we all know there is a “house charger” for the main batteries but not for the genny batt. I order a device called a “ Digital-echo charger” from a big charger company. It is suppose to let you connect a lead from the house battery charger to the genny batt. when the genny is running, the genny is supposed to charge its own battery, but when the boat just sits in her slip, the house charger is supposed to charge genny batt.
That doesn’t seem to be working either.
