Received Buffalo Video

Not only does it seem that the school had way too easy access, the police where chasing the kid. In our area, a police chase like that would lead to a school lockdown -- nothing moves.

Sorry I missed "semi" automatic. I don't even like basketball or Kerr or even know anything about that guy. But come on... he is bang on. We'll say some prayers, have a moment of silence, and then move on. Nothing done about it. Till next "week" when we say our prayers again. Sorry I am exaggerating a bit, but it is just so common it seems like it is every week.
 
Honestly, you guys will never agree. The solution would be to make it near impossible for psychopaths to be able to purchase a semi-automatic rifle. It's about the only thing Canada maybe does half right. Unfortunately, I think US is past that and too far gone... At this point, everybody needs to be armed and protect themselves.

Reading the Daily Mail article, it's already clear there were early signs to intervene and maybe this could have been averted years ago.

The world is full of crazies doing a variety of things to others that aren't deserved. Maybe we should just cull the herd at the first indication.

I don't know @Woody, but I found yesterdays orientation at my kids future college interesting. There were about 8 students who were chosen to speak in front of all of us 150 people. When they introduced themselves, 1st was their name and second was their preferred pronouns, then their majors.

Later, after the families were separated from their kids, to walk the campus with the 8 students, a facilities manager was discussing the onsite medical as well as their increased capacity of counselors to help with their ever increasing mental health issues students are having.

I thought to myself, 'During a personal introduction, the 2nd thing the students say is their preferred pronoun??? (learned through school would be my guess) No wonder you have an increased amount of students having mental issues'.

The "exaggeration" clouds the message. Be honest about it and you can get to a solution. Why is it that the "other side" won't compromise on something less than a gun ban?

The suspect in this tragedy apparently was the Democrat party poster child prior to this murderous escapade.

But we have every nut job Democrat coming out of the woodwork now blaming Republicans for not helping them target the inanimate objects.

If any of the politicians were serious about protecting the children they would first hire armed security to protect all schools. I know they all hate police because somehow police are racist for trying to keep communities safe from crime but the Department of Education could easily hire their own armed security officers, not police, and their only job would be to keep the kids safe at school from threats like this. But we’ll never get it to happen because the feckless liberals will just scream over anyone who doesn’t immediately agree with them and refuse to have a rational conversation.

Secondly the suspect in this case was obviously suffering from mental health issues that should have labeled him as a prohibited possessor prior to the purchase of firearms when he became an adult. Did his parents or guardians not seek the mental health treatment he required prior to his 18th birthday or did the Doctor not input the suspect as required by law into the database? Or did the feds not update the database so that the background check would have prevented the firearm purchase. We should be asking these questions but no one will because it doesn’t fit the political agendas of the day.

Lastly it appears that the suspect was posting all over social media that he was going to do this prior to doing it. Are you telling me that no one that saw that prior thought to help prevent the tragedy from occurring.

So you would go after all semi-automatic rifles, not just the "scary" ones? What about semi-auto pistols, which are more frequently used in mass shootings?

As they should be - the mental health system should make it so they will fail when a 4473 is ran - but the mental health system was GUTTED.

Because by going for it all, it's a win for the other side when we reach a compromise. We need to do a better job of abolishing gun laws, oh wait - 25 states have constitutional carry!
