I was only hoping to keep my mind sharp but apparently that can't happen here.
There are better ways to keep your mind sharp than trolling an internet forum, trying to insult the members repeatedly and telling everyone how much smarter you are than them. How about reading a book? YMMV.

Maybe it's something in the water up there?

Illinois has a law preventing companies from collecting biometric info without following a set of protocols. Facebook's facial recognition violated that law, so Illinous sued. Each Illinois resident who was a Facebook user and joined the class gets a check for $397 as their share in the settlement

Thx for the explanation.

Happens all the time, recently I was speaking to a neighbor about an excavator he is selling. Next day the excavator ads started. I've tried to set everything off, but missing something.

I only have a few apps, mostly marine related and do not do social media other than this or a car forum I'm member of.

"That's how they got the mules"

i'm gonna do a test tomorrow and see what happens. i have a co-worker that is all up Bidens butt and thinks nobody is spying on us and it's all a conspiracy theory. Told him about this and he tried to tell me it never happened cause it isn't possible...lol

I texted my wife tonight about wanting to go buy an Audi but nothing happened. Got nothing from Alexa or anywhere else

Try an email too and do it once or twice. The algorithms also prioritize multiple hits. You will start to see Audi ads and it won't take too long.

I was searching sketchers website for shoes last night. Now I get sketchers adds on fake book.

My team is developing an accessory so low-vision and other disabled people can operate our office equipment via voice commands. Everyone is somewhat suspicious of smart assistants like Alexa listening in; I didn't want there to be any concern about who/what was listening in a business or government office environment, or where the data was being held. Data and information privacy is a legit concern. I insisted on the engineers using only an internal voice command library with NO connection to the internet or other server.

It took the engineers some doing to make a software solution that works, but we're close to commercialization. The markets are Federal customers, who often specify Section 508 compliance in bids, as well as marketing as a "touchless" operation of office equipment.

Talk about cats. Get kitty litter ads. I hate the phuckers. Phuck cats.

If you do a lot of searching for bikinis, guess what kind of adds you get? Lol
