Top Gun

I didn't care a whole lot for the first one but watched it a few times. Will probably watch this one at some point but phuck Tom...lol

Went to see the original when I was in college. It was a rush especially since I grew up in Bethpage where the Grumman plant was that engineered and manufactured most of the F14s. Occasionally they would bring one in for the Corp meetings and show off and roar. Watching them in the movie gave you chills.

Knew a lot of people who worked there growing up. When the F14 was killed off it was pretty much the demise for Grumman. Still for it's time it was a great plane.

When the fleet was retiring they returned one home and it is still on public display. My Wife took one of my kids to Farmingdale airport to watch it arrive.

My bad, didn't realize I was showing off. I'll do better next time. Plus, I only have a 28' boat, not like the rest of you big shots. :)
Losing 40lbs and working out is showing off…. My new doctor who is 110lbs if I made him hold a bucket of water …. He told me to lose 20lbs and my problems would go away….. my old doctor who was fat and now retired never said shit….. god I miss him

I have a friend who flew F14s. During his last 6 months in the Navy he served as a liaison to the Air Force. He got a chance to fly in an F15. He said, somewhat jokingly, that he joined the wrong service. But I know he wouldn't trade his time at Annapolis for anything. Life long dream.

Ha, we all need fat doctors! Unfortunately my weight loss was the result of severe acid reflux. I had to change my diet significantly and sometimes eating at all was a challenge. Eventually my stomach shrank and now I can't eat half as much as I could 40 pounds ago. Working out is what it is. YMMV. :D

You old guys sure get distracted a lot with these rambling threads that stray off topic 5 direction at once. Just like a rambling Trump speech or a Biden press conference..
(There…. That auto do it!. LOL)
