I have a 1986 260 Sun Dancer that needs a re-stitching on the Bimini cover that goes from the stern to the top of the windshield with about an 8' beam. Any ideas what a fair price would be to have it re-stitched as the threads are starting to give way ? I'm in the Buffalo New York area ....

I just. like 2 weeks ago, had my cockpit cover completely restitched. Original was a cotton thread. Completely redone with a fishing line type thread that never rots. Bottom of windshield to transom. $260. Lamar Canvas. Took in a Monday had back Wednesday. A Bimini top, maybe half.

Thank you for the reply Pirate Lady, greatly appreciated .

I use Solarfix...sews easier in my opinion.
Thank you for your comment. I'll have to check out all the options they use to re-stitch as I'd like this to last for some time before it has to be done again.

Tenara is the brand name for the PTFE (Teflon) thread.
Sailrite has their branded Lifetime PTFE thread also.
I'm getting a good education here on stitching, thanks for the commentary to you and everyone else who reply to this " thread " ( no pun intended ,lol )
