04 SunDancer 50 water in cabin bilge

I'm going to do the dye just because but it has to be the tank.

Water pump removed, disconnected to dock water and the tank continues to lose water. From 3/4 to 1/4 in a few hours. Since it continues to drain I am assuming the issue it towards the bottom of the tank.

food coloring is probably fine but I used specialty UV dye on my last boat to find a very difficult fresh water leak. I bought it on amazon and it came with a blacklight flashlight. Turned out to not be coming from anywhere near where I thought so it was effective

Ok, so what turned out to be the problem with water leak??

Cut a few access holes in the top of the tank and didn't see anything obvious. There was something that looked like a plastic rivet sticking up ever so slightly. Mixed up some Marine Tex and smeared it all over the area and the problem went away.

No more leaks and it was pretty easy job. Pull the carpet back, remove the section of plywood floor and there is the tank.
