2022 SPLASH pics

My guess is there is nothing wrong with your pump. Your fresh water pump likely needs to be primed to build any pressure otherwise it just keeps running. You need to get the air out of the water line. It is done by going to the water pump and slowly turn the knurled outflow knob while the pump is running. Air and bubbles followed by water will be shooting out the loosened knob, then it will produce a "bite" on the water flow since the air has been let out of the line. Now tighten the connection and you should be good. Pump will shut off once the pressure has been established.

Hey all my pump won’t shut off and I can’t build pressure the only time it works is when I have a hose running wide open in the tank fill I guess the pressure from the hose primes it I would like to replace the pump any suggestions on what gpm I should get the current one when it decides to work is only strong enough to have pressure at one faucet at a time it’s a 06 280 dancer
Do you have a pic of water splashing in the sink in 2022?

In! With an engine water leak and getting ready to change all my fuel lines. But at least my winter light project turned out.

I am wondering if those of you that pull your boats for the winter experience any "more than usual" issues when you splash than those who leave their boats in the water year round. Thinking out loud kind of question/comment.

9 times out of 10 no issues….this being the 10th time. I have one head not sealing and my generator quit working :(

To me it seems the more you touch the more likely something will not work. That being said, I think you are more likely to touch more stuff while the boat is out of the water. We haul every other year and the years we leave in it seems we just unwrap and go.

My boats are stored 7-8 months each year. Never had any 'extra' spring launch issues yet, hope I didn't just jinx myself.:D

Maybe that's the only time you have water in the tank.

No issues here.... moving to heated indoor in the fall... so no more flushing antifreeze from the water lines in the spring.

So far everything is just how she was when she was pulled out....many years in a row...

Just splashed

Galley faucet now leaking
Toilet valve now leaking
Fresh water pump not building pressure
Wax service i paid for sucked.

Other than that, I get to work from rhe boat again and life is good.

That might be a true statement but it’s a 27 gal tank and I’m sure it wouldn’t overflow after the hose being in the fill for 1 or 2 minutes

I don't know. It sounds like your saying everything works correct when the water hose is filling the tank. Do you mean the pump pumps water and shuts off like it should? In itself the water hose shouldn't have any effects like that. Unless you have something floating around in your water tank that blocks the pickup.

Maybe it works when you have the tank cap off and it's not the fact you got the water hose in there. Maybe your tank air vent is plugged up.

Have you checked the little filter at the water pump inlet?

My brother in law keeps his boat in your area. The Elizabeth Park Marina. The bridge being closed was a pain for him.
That had to be a huge pain. I live on the island so I know the fun of that bridge closure. Luckily it didn’t affect my boating.

The old girl back where she's happy. Nothing worse than seeing your boat on stands in a barn for months.

She may be old, but taking care of a boat and having it take care of you back is a great thing.

Maybe one too many bourbon tonight, but I don't have words to express the positive difference in life that is being on the boat.

Indeed, well said.
