I've not plotted my escape from society yet but man alive...I've been to a few rather remote places in this country. Not the least of which is northern Michigan. I have to believe with $100k cash (no idea how much they had??) that these guys could have stayed gone for much longer than 11 days.

I guess it would be hard to even get gasoline these days without being on camera. But even then...shoot, drive over to New Jersey where it's against the law to fill up your own gas tank! :)

I do go there. Actually my wife’s great grandfather was the light house keeper at Grand Marais. Anyway, your escape plan is safe with me.

Someone would have to be shooting at me, and I would have to be out of ammo, for me to take your shit route.
 
I should clarify - the upwards arrow is intended to mean "ohh shit, the fuzz is closing in on me, options are limited, time to swim for it" and not an indication of how I feel about Canada. I've always had deep respect and appreciation for Michigan's Upper Upper Peninsula.

And before a wise Canadian corrects me....yes, of course, I know it's not actually a peninsula. :)

The residents of the UP are a very determined group. I couldn't live that remotely, so much respect.

Any dude that would pick a running mate that can eat a roasted ear of corn thru a chicken wire fence hasn't much future as a convict on the run.
