Resurrecting an old forum because it seems like the proper place to put this.

I just changed out the radio on my 2006 Sea Ray 48. I believe that the Raymarine VHF-240 is either original or an upgrade by the previous owner, circa 2013. Anyway, it is out of the boat now. There are four major components: The base unit, the power/data cable, the handheld unit, and the external speaker. I also have the cradle into which the handheld sits.

Asking $200 for the entire set, or best offer.

PM me for details.

How bad was the removal and installation? What did you replace it with. Thanks.

Removal was easy. Since I replaced my VHF antenna at the same time, I just cut that end off and used it to pull a string up to the antenna mount. Under the helm I undid all the wires and got them out in whole. I replaced it with a Vesper Cortex which is a VHF/AIS combo. https://www.vespermarine.com/cortex?hsLang=en

I
did have to install another GPS antenna dedicated to the Cortex. The previous owner put a digital GPS in a few years back which sent info to the SeaTalk ng network. So now I have 2 GPS antennas on the Port side of the arch. The can be as close as 6” apart.

I really do like this system. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
