Jimmie Walker Medicare Commercial

I don't think in my entire life I've ever heard a commercial that irritated me as much as the one this douchebag does.
Never been driving when the Cars-for-kids song comes on? The single reason I don’t keep a gun in the glove box.
1-877-carsforkids
1-877-carsforkids
Repeat 1000 times
Cant get it out of your head now. You’re welcome.

KARS cars for Kids. Geez get it right. Donate your car today. “Now accepting real estate”.

Evidently I'm fortunate because I have never heard of the Cars for kids commercial

I called to check my zip code

Tarek just might be the most awkward 40 something white male I've ever seen. Googled it, oh geez, there's a video.

"Why Sea Ray thinks these two can sell boats is beyond me."

America loves celebrities, drama, divorces, marriages, bad decisions, happy endings...he renamed his boat "Bad Decisions". Oh, and fake titty skinny blondes.

I am assuming you didn’t make this statement in a critical fashion, “Oh, and fake titty skinny blondes.” Commercials using these bimbos are certainly less annoying than with has-been low-budget celebrity hacks. I was a fan of Magnum PI until I saw him softly, confidently convincing little old widows to sign away their life’s savings. Just goes to support the fact that these Hollywood hacks have always been a bunch of fake retards who can’t do anything real or productive.
Have to go back to the days of Chuck Connors and James Arness for anything real.

I think they're just scraping the barrel to try to make some money with what little bit of a reputation they have left. Heck if the advertiser offered me a million bucks to do it I'd probably do it.

And if you think about it they're finding celebrities from the eligible medicare markets past. Some old lady sees Tom Selleck, who she probably had a crush on, or JJ who she used to think was cool and funny.

i think that is the key. If someone offered any of us $1,000,000 for one or two days work to film a few commercials, we would speak the lines and cash the check and not worry about what people think of me.

Isn’t that what some politicians do daily?

One more reminder why I stopped watching lamestream TV decades ago. Long lost track of even whats on anymore and dont miss it. Too much on youtube, dvd and old classic movies and too little time.

People can do their own research, weigh the pros and cons, decide if it's for them. Who are we to judge what's right or wrong for someone who is in dire straits, needs money, for whatever reason, and can't, or choses not to opt for a traditional loan. Any perhaps "Phuck Tom" does believe in this, perhaps he has had a personal experience with it.

I did some consulting a few years ago for a consumer loan company who's model is to "send the check in the mail and if you cash it you now have a loan". I remembered these from the 80s and did not know they still existed. I forget some of the details, but they served a market who's credit score was 600 or lower I think. I questioned their model, thought they were like you say above, however after learning more and seeing who their customers were I was ok with it. They were actually serving a market that nobody else served, helping real folks who were in dire straits or for one reason or another needed a small (usually unsecured) loan, in some cases to take their family on a vacation, pay an emergency car/medical repair bill, etc. If this type of loan did not exist they would be in trouble. Some of my colleagues shared stories of their families needing this type of loan growing up as well.

I get the message, however sometimes folks need a loan to bridge a gap, for an unplanned emergency, etc. Who are we to question the companies out there offering such a loan or the celebrities collecting a check to endorse them? Oh, and just like not replying to a post here, we have the option to change the channel.

No different than the outfits that make you offers on property you have, they offer pennies on dollars. Sometimes I call them and let them know what I think. They've got it all justified, usually respond with 'you don't have to accept the offer'.

Serving a market my ass...preying on it.

OMG…..the only difference is reverse mortgages charge you 60%

ripping people off based on your fame as a tv actor is a scum bag move…. If you think any different and blame the victim for being stupid or desperate then shame on you

Never said I thought any different, just presenting a different side of the story. These places are not the mafia, they're not putting guns to our heads, we can make our own decisions based on our own research and analysis. In some circumstances this may be the only option for someone.

Couldn’t disagree more……Ya …. Tom is a bit of a trigger for me…. Don’t need another side of a story … the guy is a low life prostitute…. By his own choice by the way …… not like he was dragged into prostitution
