What does an average 04-07 boat and trailer weigh? Tongue weight? My wife is looking for a different boat with at least some sort of head and I’m not really interested in upgrading my truck to accommodate her 3-4 footitis.

My 2007 240 Sun Deck tipped the scales at a little over 6000 pounds on an aluminum trailer. Add a full tank of fuel, the ice chest, and everything we stored on board and it was closer to 6600.
Our newer 2015 270 Sundeck weighs in at closer to 8000.
I pull both with a F150, with max tow package. The gas engine gets crappy milage compared to the F250 Diesel that I used to use, but we only tow 2-4 times a year, as the boat it spends most of it's life on a lift at the lake.

anyone having issues with water pooling on the cockpit cover on both side right behind the tower mounting points? 2022 SDX 270

Yes it is a common issue on all sites that this is asked. Suggestions are to buy beach balls and inflate and leave on the rear seats or go on Amazon and purchase additional boat cover poles. I purchased two more poles and haven’t had an issue since.

Yep, one extra pole and problem solved.

where did you place the poles? I just ordered them this morning?

I placed mine in the corners near the rear drain holes. You might have to adjust after the first time it rains with the location and height of the pole.

Same. One pole in the port side corner of the rear seat where the floor drain and power connector is located. Pole just needs to lift the lowest point above the rear seat back height, that is the restriction that causes water to pool

on mine it pools next to the tower on each side

do you have a tower on your boat?

Yes I do. I pull the rope pretty taught then place poles as Paul has stated. Most everyone that has this issue water pools the same. Here is a pic of before

I use it traversing the boat side to side in the bow cover near the windshield. But I actually modified it and made the t on top much longer and bent it to the correct contour to nearly eliminate water coming in at the windshield or pooling in the cover. It has to be a hard rain for water to come in.

Here is the response I received from GreatLakes :
Hi Scott,

The correct location for the t-pole is be installed at the widest area and turn the pole to have the arms extend side to side.

Thanks
