2022 SPLASH pics

That looks like hard work pulling on those lift cables to pick the boat up; lifts here in da south have engines, hydraulics and such.

Beautiful boat BTW
Ya I saw that in the pic after….. slowest lift on the planet…. Nicest guys though. Especially in the pouring rain it was aweful

Way off topic, looks like that lift has metal small wheels on a rail? I am used to the big rubber tires.

Those midwestern guys are strange. They do that out there.
Who ru people?….. so the bow faces west…. So aft gets morning sun…. Drys dew. In the afternoon during sunset the aft gets shade…. Also I would rather sit aft and look at water rather then my parked car…. Also makes deploying dinghy a bit easier. ….on top of all that it easier to park :)

Went in Friday!

Gem beach on Catawba island ….. met all the ladies in the office today. Hopefully this is the place very happy so far
I will be in your neck of the woods tomorrow. I took the day off to help a buddy bring his Tiara home from storage. He’s floating in East Harbor State park at the moment in Marblehead. Weather permitting a PIB detour will be on the agenda.

Still waiting. Launch date was Monday. Boat is on the hard still, promised to go in tomorrow. Ok, fine, so be it.

Like the infomercials...but, there's more!

I pay for heated storage.

Somehow over winter, the kitchen faucet is now leaking badly as well as a toilet valve. Also, the fresh water pump is no longer holding pressure.

I stopped by to check on the boat yesterday and found a dime size chunk of gel coat gouged out near the gunwale. Being it just waxed a month ago and no one mentioned it....having a hard time believing that I never saw it and the wax crew didn't mention "hey, you've got some damage here".

Oh well, it's just money....

I am around …leaving late afternoon tomorrow…. At crows nest as we speak

Holy crap…..it just stopped raining…..and when I say raining let’s just say I am glad I am on a boat…..what a day…..radar is clear for now.

Heading down to Mirror Image today or tomorrow to check on progress and see if I can get a possible launch date penciled in. The weather has been so lousy I'm not having a pity party but I really want to get the boat to its new home. And I'm getting a little anxious about discovering some surprises that were missed or decided to break/quit working over the winter. I fully anticipate their will be things needing replacement or repair. That's not the worry. It's the get it up to Lake St Clair without incident that's gnawing at me some...

Went in on 4/23 in cold windy CT. I had a break in the wind this past saturday, kind of, to get her 26 miles from the CT River to her home in Mystic CT. Ran like a top....
