410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

Tomorrow should kick off our 2022 season as long as this last blast of winter doesn’t put a damper on it (snowing outside right now). I made sure my little buddy put the drain plug in so I can’t be blamed if it leaks.:)

really looking forward to getting the year started.

Still a bit of lingering snow here this morning. Should be the last of it!

Good luck with your launch today!

On a completely different subject we are planning on spending a week on Lake Erie this summer and are looking for a recommendation for transient accommodations on Marble head or Catawba Island. If any of you Great Lakes team have any suggestions we would appreciate it!

I enjoyed a few stops at Cleats Marblehead several years back. There's not a lot of "walking distance" stuff in that area, however. If you're looking for more of a destination you may need to go to the more touristy spots.

Perhaps post a message in the Great Lakes portion of this forum...

There are some worthwhile places in Catawba/Marblehead, including the Marblehead Lighthouse, The Orchard Bar & Table, Gideon Owen Winery (formerly Mon Ami), The Canoe Club and Twin Oast Brewing but as Stee mentioned, you can't walk to them. It's basically Ohio's version of Harrison Twp!

If it were me, I'd settle-in at The Crew's Nest on a Sunday evening, and at some point during the week take the Jet Express over to KI, Cedar Point and Sandusky.

And we’re off!

by the way this picture appears calm and serene. It was hailing sideways with a gale warning and 30kt west winds (out slip faces west)

the thruster got a workout

Threw this up today. I know, TV on the boat, but we use it a ton after the kids in bed.

I’m going to wire a small 50w inverter to the DC side so we can also have it on while away from home and not have to run the gen. It’s on an RV swivel mount that locks into place and also comes down with a single thumbscrew if conditions are nasty and it’s bouncing around

Next you’ll be putting internet onboard to stream Disney+ for the kids!

Looks awesome. Have you considered putting an AC outlet behind the TV on the arch too? Probably wouldn't be too big of a project?

yep that’s still an option. An old work box would be pretty easy and there’s already an ac junction box nearby (behind the cabin door)

I was going to say that there is already an outlet under your sink for the icemaker/fridge. I ripped my old icemaker out yesterday and can verify there is twin outlet box right there.

Yeahpuuer...though let's not underestimate the amount of effort it takes to get that dang ice maker out of there. That's a 3 beer job...

Ya cant drink all day if you don't start bright and early in the morning!

My head hurts a little today, but I do have access to my port fuel sender while it's out...

420DA seems to be built the same. I used an old work box, but pulled a new wire from the breaker panel on a new 15amp breaker. It is easy on that side on my boat to come out of the electrical panel. This way I can add another outlet later if I want.....

92 400 Express - GFI

My 110v outlets on the STBD side are not working. I have a GFI in the head, and another in the galley, under the counter - both of these are PORT side.

Is there a 3rd GFi somewhere for the STBD side? There are only two outlets on the STBD side and neither are GFI. Guessing it could be the breaker?

Where are the two outlets that you know of on the STBD side located?
