So have any of your wives taken a steak knife to your freezer ice to aid in the defrosting only to puncture the freon line in the bottom tray? I hope not, but if anyone has, please let me know what I'm looking at to fix/replace.
Thanks.

if you can find one about $1,500. We replaced ours with a Vitrifrigo

Don’t laugh mine went there!!!! “No more toys for you until I get a new fridge or else!!!” Vitri is the way to go… Wifey loves it now. Best $1500 I spent on the boat.

Thanks guys for your input. Does the Vitrifrigo have doors that open to the left like the Norcolds?

So if the vitrifrigos only open to the right, how does that work in the cramped space. Doesn't bother the 1st mate?

TNT,
Did your Vitrifrigo fit exactly where your Norcold was or did you have to modify the trim? Did you get the right hand door swing? You mentioned below that you can get them either way. Thanks!

Not quite. I had to open up the width about .060". You can have them open either way..meaning: they're reversible. Hope this helps.

Tom,

Last question. Was it just the trim you had to open up or the entire width of the frame? Looks like the Vitrifrigo has a nice lip around the sides so should hide any cutting that needs to be done. Was it a pretty simple job? I imagine getting the old one out and the new one down was tight as well! Thanks.

Andy,

I only had to cut the trim on my boat. The Vitrifrigo just physically wouldn't fit without that slight adjustment. I used my DeWalt 20v circular saw, and then cleaned it up the corners with a jigsaw. The stainless lip covered all the sins nicely. I had my son, and his friend do all the heavy lifting so it didn't look all that heavy to me.
I believe @ocgrant took on this project as well, and knowing him probably even took pics!

So this guy owns a detailing company out west……wrapped his 48 black… the boat behind me in storage is getting his 40’ wrapped blue from white. I talked to them and they said $8k to wrap my blue. I will take pics tomorrow …..not sure I like it

Hey no harm taken! I own a Tint/wrap/ppf shop so I wrap pretty much everything haha. It’s cheaper to maintain and gives it a custom look. I had originally planned to do more of the boat but it gets sooooo time consuming. Here’s my old boat fully wrapped…. I like grey if you can’t tell.

It has its ups and downs. It’s all about how you live your life and what you prioritize. I don’t own a house/wife/kids. I work hard/play hard and spend a lot of money on toys lol

Thanks Tom. That is great information. @ocgrant, if you have any pictures or addition information you'd be kind enough to share before I tackle this project, I would greatly appreciate your wisdom!
