500/520 DB official thread

Water line manifold leaks are a RPITA and I’m ready to replace the manifold. I recall seeing someone had already done so before but I’m not Davy enough to find it using the search feature. Your help finding would be greatly appreciated!

View attachment 74105 There is not a pic of it in the parts manual but this seems like it is what you are looking for.
Searay Part #1906166
This is an older post but I was having the same issue with my grill. I tried sourcing the switch online but all of them I found were momentary ON not OFF so they won't work. If they worked would have cost me $12 for 5 or them from several places. To get the momentary off I had to order it from Searay dealer. $109 for a tiny little momentary switch. It is crazy.

Has anyone replaces these decals on the side of the salon?

One of mine is peeling almost all the way off and and the others are looking weathered. I saw a DB once somewhere with them in a glass like material. I am looking for ideas on materials to replace the decals with and where one would source something like that.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.

Flounder Pounder had the OEM replacements for the Starboard side at one time. I have not seen the OEM Port side anywhere.

I think we do need an alternative idea also. Maybe a Sign/Lettering shop can order the materials and have them cut.

Do you know what they were called at flounder pounder? I looked there the other day but didn’t see anything.

Those markings on the 58DB are glass of some nature.

Thanks for that info. Maybe that’s where I have seen the glass ones.

Anyone with a 2006 know what transducer was used for speed/depth? I'd like to swap mine for a new tri data as long as it is pull the old, insert the new. Will prob switch to a 3d when we pull for a bottom job in a few years.

Jeremy, I have a spare of a couple of these on my 58 if you stop over one weekend I can show you - that is if I remember where I put them! I think that @bmac is correct I believe the are actual glass.
That would be awesome. I will be there all day Saturday. If they were a close enough match then I could take one and go find a place to have them made. Thanks, I’ll see you Saturday.

That might be the way I go unless I can get these ones on flounder Pounder to work. Thanks for the pic. I wondered how it would look without them.

I think the dark color hulls look better with the removed Tear Drops than the all white hull. We look better with the contrast. I have seen a couple white hulls on line with the Tear Drops removed, here is one on line...https://www.tampayachtsales.com/boat/2007/sea-ray/52-sedan-bridge/2768136 Also I have not seen Flounder Pounder sell the Port side before. The package is pricey but maybe worth having them on hand.

I agree that I would prefer to have them on, especially with the white hull. It is good to know how it will look without them though. Tomorrow when I am at the boat I am going to make sure mine have the same dimensions as flounder pounder is showing and will get them ordered if so.

Has anyone replaced the head sink faucet cartridge? Our faucet has a constant dribble of water coming from where the base of the faucet meets the counter top. We had this a few years ago and replacing the cartridge did the trick.I can’t locate the receipt for the part. Does anyone happen to know the part number?
Any suggestions on where to purchase it? I think we got it from Grohe

I’m just not a fan of stickers on anything. I also removed my boot stripe. When I bought my last new motor coach the first thing I did was peel off all the brand names that where stuck on everywhere. They put a nice paint job on it so why cover it up. I would think if you could get a pattern from someone here you could cut it on a cricket vinyl cutter.

QSM11 - Are you guys getting 100% Load at 100% throttle? Haven’t paid much attention to this over the years but read an article about it today in BoatTest.com. This article said that although it isn’t necessarily bad to not get to 100 Load at 100 Throttle but you may be leaving gains on the table.

I will post my WOT results next time I get out and can confirm. Below is my latest runs but I didn’t have the screen set to show load at WOT. Will change that…

Boat is running reasonably fast and pretty efficient (full of fuel, empty water and holding) but port engine is burning slightly more fuel. Will check the synchronization but I don’t think it’s that. Just had the bottom cleaned and props reset to best pitch for me 28”x 30.8” pitch. I wonder if the port prop has slightly more pitch compared to the starboard prop.
