DOJ Investigation of China Intellectual Property theft

This investigation started under Trump. Brandon's DOJ is shutting it down due to "fears of bias". Phuck Joe Biden.

I like you was shocked to read that report. I don't usually comment on non boating items, but i cannot hold back on this one. Intellectual theft by the CCP is not new and is done at all levels. When i was in grad school in the 1980's and textbooks cost $200 to $300 each, when one of the CCP students would go home for a visit, he would load up on text books that cost ~$20 each that were literally printed on newsprint like paper, with a hard cover. There would be a handful of blank pages scattered throughout the book.

At the time i was happy to save the $$, but it soon became apparent to me that was the way the CCP operates. No respect for our intellectual rights including patents, copy rights, trademarks; and they can and reverse engineer anything they can get their hands on. Our government and corporations have aided and abetted the CCP's dramatic rise to power we have see for the past 30 years, all the while getting richer and richer themselves. I am unsure if it is just greed on their part or planned. At some point it will be addressed.

from Council on Foreign Relations website:

"President Clinton signs the U.S.-China Relations Act of 2000 in October, granting Beijing permanent normal trade relations with the United States and paving the way for China to join the World Trade Organization in 2001. Between 1980 and 2004, U.S.-China trade rises from $5 billion to $231 billion. "
