Anyone bring their cat on the boat with them?

Oh boy…. Here we go fellas!! ^^^^

We have a dock neighbor who has 3 small dogs and a pig that they take on their most of their boat trips. Don’t think they anchor out much so he must walk all 4.
I guess replied too soon as I am too new here to have known about the pig thread but thanks for posting the link. Made it through 10 pages of that thread tonight. And still laughing!

No dog replies please :) I used to love bringing the pups on the boat, but now it's a cat only for us since they have all passed.

My gf has asked now that I am buying a bigger boat "can we bring the cat?". My first thought was "why not?". But, the more I think about it I am wondering "How?". It will not be a simple as bringing the water/food bowl and litter box in my opinion.

Curious to know if anyone else does this, and if you have tips/tricks/suggestions on how to make a good experience for the cat, and us.
I can picture a cat getting in the way or causing way more issues, in case of any possible emergency.

Not our cat but we once had a looper spend a few days at our dock and their cat would check out all the boats. Here it is exiting our 370. It was raised on a boat and was very comfotable around a marina. They had a lot of good stories, the nine lives type of stories.

This was asked of the captain that started the pig questions paraphrased.

So a guy walks down the dock past your boat with your wife and pet on it and says nice pig, how do you know which one he is referring to?

If we ever brought her aboard, I can picture our cat selling the boat out from underneath us and using the proceeds to buy cat nip and a shit load of toys the minute the wife and I stepped off the boat.

As my dad is known for saying; "If you were six inches tall, you could still get your dog to sit, but your cat would eat you."
The other one was "To the dog, you're the Master of the house. To the cat, you're just one of the hired hands."
