I have to say that I am disappointed that the Olympics are being held in Chiner this winter as I really usually enjoy watching them. I will not watch a moment of them for the obvious reasons and am sure it won't make a difference to the big picture. If a majority of US viewers boycotted them and the sponsors supporting the games, it could make an economic impact and send a message though. I really don't give a damn about the athletes that might be affected since they essentially are selling their soles to XI Ping by participating. If all of them had rejected China as a venue at the time the games were awarded, another country would have been chosen. I am not just pissed at China for the pox they unleashed and refused to take responsibility for, I don't want to reward them for all of the BS they pull all over the world not to mention the Human abuse and genocide that is for the most part ignored.
Most of the athletes are fine individuals that are dedicated to their sport but they are also a bunch of self-centered Primadonas that are catered to by their helicopter parents.
Any way I'll be happy to stream the rest of Ozark instead of watching the Olympics.

While I won’t go out of my way to watch, I’m an American first. I’ll cheer for our athletes and support their quest for gold medals. They didn’t pick the venue - they just busted their asses most of their life to get to this pinnacle. I don’t think China should be a contender for host country, but it’s not the athletes fault.

I feel like it's an irony unique to the USA. We claim the moral high ground over China while simultaneously being their absolute biggest fans.

We would post and discuss boycotting the China Olympics while using a computer made in China, with a China made cell phone in our pocket while our car, with 30% COO China components, is parked in the garage. Yer probably going to stream Ozark on a 75" Samsung...that was made in China. :) If we wanted to "get one over" on China, we'd stop buying all of that stuff.

For the record I'm also not planning to watch the Olympics, nothing to do with China though. And I really need to watch the last few episodes of the prior season of Ozark to prepare for that binge!

I'm much more interested in the summer sports than the winter sports, but if I'm looking for something on TV I will definitely watch. Not sure whether you were ever an athlete, but those kids work their asses off to reach that level. Most of them have absolutely nothing to do with the politics, and they deserve our support.

You forgot about Covid 19 being made in China as well;)

I've boycotted the Olympics ever since the US Olympic committee has allowed selection of ahole athletes who want to represent our great country so they can protest and disgrace it. I'm tired of the woke Olympic committee and their woke sponsors. Many other choices for entertainment.
I buy Chicomm only when no alternative.

Not watching either. China and NBC. There has to be something really compelling for us to watch NBC.

Funny how in 1980 many countries including the USA, boycotted the Olympics in Russia to protest Russia's invasion of Afghanistan, which arguably was or would be much less consequential to the global economy or security than China's relentless influence and aggression as of late. Back then, world leaders had balls and would do what was necessary to protect themselves and their sovereignty even if a handful of children playing games would get their feelers hurt. I understand and applaud the fact that the athletes work hard at their sport to be at the level of Olympic competition, but they have plenty of chances to compete and be supported in national and international competition. The Olympics just bring all of the sports together on one stage to be celebrated. I think that in the grand scheme of things, the collective investment in time and resources would be better spent on real problems instead of giving the woke crowd another platform to spew their dangerous rhetoric and I just don't think that should be supported. As a group, the Athletes could have boycotted the chiner Olympics and put together enough support to put on an alternative Olympic event in protest, I would DVR the crap out of that and watch every minute of it. Fact is these Athletes are more interested in their personal quest for gold than doing what is truley courageous and bold.
Just my cynical .02$

....and now I see that scumbag Pelosi is telling all the athletes, they should not mention what they see over there. Yeah, thats' a great way to get respect in this world, hang your head and clam up when it's time to stand for freedom.

Being I don’t understand hockey or basketball and the bars will have it on, I will watch. I do like the ski jumps, and I always root for the Jamaicans in the bobsled. Got to love a bunch of guys never seen snow competing.

I’m not watching one second of it and I’d like to know what commercials are running so I can boycott those products.
