I think it’s becoming pretty standard procedure for the mods to send any thread started by @El Capitan to the basement. Pretty sure he holds the record on getting “flushed” to the holding tank.

Last time a moderator got involved he said a thread will only get moved to the holding tank if there is a complaint and In turn the thread broke the rules…. Usually political… although maybe things have changed

WTF should we expect from them....a few years ago while participating in a NATO exercise they had to paint broom handles black and put them on their tanks as fake machine guns....because they didn't have real ones.:p The overall assessment of the military force they could put at the front and sustain for a month is equivalent to a couple boy scout troops.:eek:

They still haven't gotten to the 2% investment in themselves that they agreed on with the other NATO members. Much poorer countries than them have found a way, but not Germany, they think they might get there by 2031.

Interesting how Germany and Canada for example are laggards, neither yet making that 2% goal. One is next door to the US(sometimes referred to as 'the gorilla that lives below', personally I find that insulting) and the other has about 35,000 well trained/equiped US military inside their country.
 
No excuse for Canada but I can understand a case made to me about Germany. That there is lingering effect from WWII Nazi Germany, politically speaking, that shames the Germans. The effect is this passive culture founded in guilt when it comes to war.

Don’t know if it’s true or accurate but plausible.

I had to look up the holding tank to see what the deal is with the tank. Seems like the only difference between that forum and others is you have to look at it to see what is new. Didn't realize the distinction until this post. Moving a thread there does not seem like a big deal or woke since comments are there to see if peps are interested. Still not sure why it go moved although most of the comments are not very enlightening.

The only time a thread gets moved is if a person complains... like if the whiner didnt like a political statement and the Tiki bar doesnt allow politics... Hence the referance of a tattle tale

Theres actually only a small percentage of PPL that are "like our governments"...they are just made to look like a larger group.
