Riverside was a cool place...Love to stop in and get a ice cream.
Yep, miss them. Also miss going to Idle Hour Yacht Club, had a lot of fun there in the past.
I've only been to Idle Hour once and that's when we did "Boats For Vets". That was a cool event and so glad we did it. We took 7 Vets (actually 5 and two of their wife's) out for the day. 2 of the older Vets and their wife's enjoyed the air condition in the cabin while the younger 3 loved anchoring and swimming. It was a great experience being able to show them around the lake.

Can you pull your boat up along that wall at Cabana blue ?https://cabanabluelakefront.com/

has anyone been there ?
I haven't been there. Looks new. Looks like from the pics there's poles to tie up to. Could be worth a phone call. I'd be willing to cruise up there on the Whaler and check it out.

I was told the same thing...I don't know of anyone that has went by boat yet.
I too heard the wall will be for boat docking. I took the dinghy up in there last season to check it out and I would be concerned with how deep the water will be going in there. I have no idea if they plan on dredging or not.

My boat neighbor went a few times in the fall. He has a 540 and he docked on the back of the restaurant. If you look at a map you can see another entrance towards the north, it wraps around to the back. He said the depth was fine back there. With that said, the owners have already been approved to dredge and put channel markers in for the main entrance.

Opened late last season. I haven’t been there yet but it looks like a great destination on the water. I’m sure it’ll be packed this summer. Hopefully we’ll be able to raft off a few boats on the seawall if it’s full. Kinda like brownies

I took our flat bottom over there back in November to scout it for my 360. I’m glad to see in an earlier post that they have permission to dredge and add channel markers. It’s definitely shallow leading from the bay into wall and the channel was marked with a couple pieces of rebar and a pop bottle on top. The area along the wall is deep enough. I’m thinking they will definitely need boats to raft up as a few decent size boats will fill the wall up pretty quickly.

We are planning on being up there a couple of times this summer at NCYC ……. Definitely will be taking the dinghy over to check it out.

keep us updated if you hear any progress
