A smaller bow thruster (up to 32 foot boat) can draw over 200 amps on 12 volts. That's a lot of juice! I like @The Bill Collector's idea of adding batteries in the bow.

This can be a very serious thing on a Diesel, if the voltage gets too low while a diesel engine is running, bad things can happen to the ECM. Ask me how I know.

I'm mechanical and no issues, unless I lose all voltage...
