That's the thing, Joe Biden isn't an idiot. He just has dementia and is being lead on a leash. If you think about it he was actually intelligent enough to run a criminal enterprise of extortion for over 40 years in Congress without being prosecuted.

Ottawa says that 20,000 doses of the single-shot vaccine should arrive soon.

Canada will take delivery of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine doses in the coming weeks, with the goal of boosting the vaccination rate among holdouts.

A spokesperson for Public Services and Procurement Canada says the government expects to take delivery soon of 20,000 doses of the single-shot vaccine from France. Those doses will be distributed to the provinces.

The vaccine hasn't yet been administered in Canada, despite the fact that Health Canada approved it for use in March.

Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia have requested tens of thousands of doses of the vaccine to increase uptake among the vaccine-hesitant.

In a news release earlier last month, Premier Jason Kenney said some Albertans in areas of low vaccine uptake had expressed a preference for the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine, also known as the Janssen vaccine.

Canada has granted full approval for the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine for adults 18 years and older, the pharmaceutical company announced Wednesday. Canada is the first country to fully authorize the Johnson & Johnson shot.

"Today marks the first major regulatory approval for the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine and an important moment to recognize the dedication of everyone involved in our COVID-19 vaccine development, our partners, the regulators and clinical study participants," Johnson & Johnson's vice chairman of the executive committee and chief scientific officer Paul Stoffels, M.D. said in a statement.

Health Canada granted the company's vaccine full authorization after initial data from a clinical study showed that it was 85% effective in preventing severe disease, and, starting 28 days after vaccination, it provides protection against hospitalization and death due to COVID-19. The data also revealed that protection against COVID-19 increases when a booster shot of Johnson & Johnson's vaccine is administered and that booster shots are safe and generally well-tolerated.

It is not yet clear whether infection with Omicron causes more severe disease compared to infections with other variants, including Delta. Preliminary data suggests that there are increasing rates of hospitalization in South Africa, but this may be due to increasing overall numbers of people becoming infected, rather than a result of specific infection with Omicron.
