Ethanol free has gone up drastically at our marina (Deisel rising also) I know a guy who's wife is a district manager for RaceTrac in ATL. She sent him a screenshot from an email just received from the VP today. The subject line and associated text used the language "upcoming massive increase" in fuel costs....the south is catching up with the rest of the country.

Sticker up !!!.... and I mean that in the looting sense :)

I filled up at the end of the season (170 gals) before haul and it was just shy of $4/gal incl our marina discount -- for ethanol free gas.

Gotta say I'm not psyched to be hearing about massive increases coming

Too damm cold, I'm as far north as I want to be. Back in the day when I was on the "50 week a year" travel plan with my then company, it seemed I was always up north or Canada in the winter, and out west in the summer. Bass awkwards.

Ru you really in Taxachusetts? If so WTH did you find ethanol free fuel in this state. As far as I know it's not available.

I am really in Mass (who would lie about that?) but I could be talking out my A55 about the ethanol-free gas. I emailed the marina to see what they say.

Pump fuel has been on the rise for a while out here. But clear fuel hasn't moved that much. Been $4.89/9 since spring. It also depends on how far you are from the supply. The closer you get the higher it is. Almost $5 a gallon in the big city. Out here near the coast it's close to but slightly over $4. Out on the surf it's $3.23 for high test pump. Out on the dock it's still $6.68. Most will fill up at the station across from the marina or carry cans down when nobody is looking. Diesel is all bio here on the west side of the state. Clear diesel I get over 25mpg. B15 is 17mpg and B20 is 14mpg. And the pick up hates that B bullchit. But on the bright side, Brown is planning another tax hike. Said we will be better off paying more at the pump as well as the hidden registration fees. Weare already paying $1.35 a gallon tax and it's looking like we are getting another $.29 a gallon.

It was $4.59 at our marina pump a few months ago. 89 at our regular stations now is about 3.45 and diesel is 4.09

Kroger grocery store here was $2.84 today and falling from $3.19 to $3.05 at a lot of places around ATL.

My bet is you got 89 octane ValvTec fuel. It's just 89 octane E10 with the ValvTec additive. That's what is sold at my yacht club and is about the best you can get in the Northeast.

Thanks Sleepy Joe! Our gas prices have dropped about a nickel over the last month. It went from $3.48 down to $3.43 at the lowest priced station in the whole area.

Just think if he hadn't killed the Keystone pipeline. We'd be down around $2.50.

Let's go Brandon!

$3.78/gallon for valvtech 91 octane, ethonol free all last season at my marina. Surprised they never raised it, but like every winter I'm sitting on full tanks in the boat and for the generator...

Yep, looks like that's what it is

Allegedly Marinas only adjust their prices when they fill their tanks the next time based on the new price. I always doubted this.

They do. They filled weekly (sometimes twice in one weekend) and NO idea why they never raised prices as they typically do...

We had a LOT of boats coming from Chicago to top off often.

Just topped off fuel tanks for upcoming FL trip. Diesel, 90 gallons at $3.70 a gallon.

Don't bet on that. Our club goes through a fair amount of gas and diesel over the year. Prices are set when the tanks are filled and, for the most part, remain at that price until the next fill.

A few years ago when prices were dropping I was going to fill Beachcomber and I knew it would take about 350-400 gallons of diesel. The pump price was much higher than street price because the tank hadn't been filled for quite awhile. I called the fuel company and explained the situation and they were kind enough to drop the price for me by about $.75.

This was when I was boating on the James River and not a lot of gas was sold. I know their tanks were still full and they'd raise the price when street prices went up.
