I am taking my boat out of the water in Feb. for bottom paint. I became the second owner in June. What "annual" check-up items should be addressed??

I would start with examining all your running gear, water pickups and through hull fittings. All your anodes should also be checked and probably replaced if this is only going to be pulled annually (if you have a bow thruster don't forget to check the anode). I would also inspect the trim tabs and their operations.

Basically anything that would require a haul out to address should be considered. Add to this list anything else that you may want to add or address such as new transducers or underwater lighting.

Otherwise it's pretty simple.

Thank you Kevin! Can you recommend a good underwater LED system for the transom? Needs to switch colors blue/green?

one that seems to be gaining in popularity around here is the trim tab system. It keeps the hole in the transom above the waterline. Hurley makes one, but the color changing kit is not inexpensive

No personal experience but I hear the Lumitec SeaBlaze are very good. As @Strecker25 mentioned these LED systems can get quite expensive real fast - especially the RGBW models.
