Stuck oil filter, best wrench

I might have to get one of those Klein strap wrenches. I got a set from Harbor Freight that are just OK. The have rubber straps that tend the stretch then slip if something is really tight.

I had a heck of a time getting the fuel filter off my generator yesterday. The bastards at Cummins Onan (or maybe Kubota), put the little filter both behind and above s bunch of fuel lines so a normal filter wrench won't fit. I had to break out an 18" long set of channel locks to get it off.

As to tightening, I found that the Cummins oil and fuel filters have tightening guides that are much tighter than I expected. For the oil they want 1 fill revolution from where it seats, and 3/4 revolution for the fuel filter. My hands and strap wrench were too slippery to get the fill rotation on the oil filter; I'll have to hope that it's tight enough without getting stuck.
