We have identified a drip from our Vetus Bow Thruster when used. We set a papertowel beneath it and ran it a few times. We found a wet spot.

The vessel is an 05, 390 Dancer, So I assume there is a gasket kit available. Has anyone had any experience with replacing gaskets or know what other part me be failing? Mike

Possibly the shaft seal is leaking when spinning. I would think the gasket would leak all the time. Have you tried contacting Vetus for advise?

They have repair kits. Before I go too far I wanted to know if anyone else has tips on changing.

Thank you I will call in am and looking forward to solving this anomaly.

So what happened? Reason I ask is I have a Vetus that is a straight pass through for gear oil. Pretty much nothing in the boat; just a bit, not much, so I'm Thinking oil is passsimg down the foot and out through the prop shaft seal.
