We have been on the hunt for a 560DB for some time now. A 550 would be ideal (hell, an L650FLY would be ideal) but cost is keeping us down to the 560. We like the extra space compared to the 480 and especially the bunk room layout over the 480. We will be staying on her 3-4 nights a week, so living space is key - which basically excludes any dancers in the same price range, along with the fact that we need a stateroom with separate twin beds.

I'd like to keep it in the family, but we would consider other makes. Voyagers seem okay...slow...but they would have to have the hard top and no inside healm to make us overlook the lines on the outside. We have considered Azimuts, Nautilus, Fairlane, et cetera but nothing seems to hold a candle to the 560DB.

What the hell else is there? What boat am I missing that has the following other than the 560 sedan bridge?
2001-2005, 60ft, enclosed/conditioned hard top flybridge, split bed stateroom (preferably 3 staterooms with a bunk layout), decent galley/salon for living, and something not hideous to look at.

Thanks.

It seems we keep increasing the budget, in hopes we can encircle something else that we didn't think of...unfortunately, the asking price of these boats seems to go up with the rate our budget increases. MEH! Let's call it $450k for now?

I mean...we even looked at sail cats, and...may still go that route. But they are more rare than the motor yachts we're considering.

Does anyone know of a 3 stateroom cruiser style? I think the 52DA came as an option one year.

I love Rivieras and the layout of this one is very nice. But I'm definitely not a fan of that enclosed flybridge design. Looks very fugly and top-heavy to me.

I would be looking at the newer 500/52 Sedan Bridge since it has the bunk layout like the 560 does.

Other brands:
-45/48/50/52 Silverton Convertibles
-530/56/57 Carver Voyager - definitely not slow with the correct engine package
-50 / 55 / 59 Marquis Motor Yachts
-4700 Rivera express without Zeus

Also, if you don't need three staterooms and just twin separate berths you could look into the 2005-2008 48 Sundancer and the 2003-2009 500/52 Sundancer.

Riviera are IPS deal, breaker for me. The 500/52 DB at your budget 05/06 has the third stateroom with bunks although not 60’ and the bunks are for smaller children.

Have you considered a Mikelson? They are really well built and have a nice wide 16’ 8” beam. This 50’ is in your price range.

Thanks for all the feedback! Those are some very good options.

And if anyone else is looking to move up from their 550, let me know!
