With my first season winding down I'd like to share what I've learned

Lol!! That's great.

Being my first year with an SR, I thought this'll be an interesting read.

It was.... as it was about as accurate as possible.

I NEED A BIGGER BOAT!

that is all
We ALL need a bigger boat! I have always said that "I need a boat with an engine room, not an engine compartment." Well, have you priced out how much a boat with an engine room costs? Hope you had an enjoyable 1st season with your boat

My 360DA had enough room to walk (sideways) between the engines. I don't know how anyone does the maintenance on 340s or 320s without disassembling exhaust / risers and such in order to do basic maintenance and impellers. My 480DB has more room, but I'm stooped over and getting to the port impeller ain't easy at all. Major maintenance requires lifting the salon floors out of the way.

Now a friend of mine has a 63 foot Prestige; that engine room is glorious. It seems like enough room for half-court basketball and a hot tub!

Had to replace the 2 float switches for the bilge pumps last year. Hired a 20-something boat mechanic that weighed less than a hundred lbs. to to the job! LOL (still had to remove most of the exhaust)

Yep. I have this bad feeling that the engines will have to come out if/when the starters need to be replaced.
