Man are boat prices going up

My local sea ray dealer took 17 smaller boats to an in water boat show at metro beach a couple weeks ago…. Came back with one that didn’t sell.

You guys following stock market this week?

Beginning of bubble burst?

Sure am, my boat buying budget has changed a bit. Now looking at 12' Jon boats, used, with no motors!

Maybe we will see a reduction in the inflated asking (and selling?) prices with this rough week in the market.

Everything has gotten expensive. Grocery shopping is nuts. Not to mention it takes weeks to receive anything you buy online.

Im having a rear differential rebuilt on a truck and parts are hard to come by.

It’s crazy.

The parts manufacturing business is crazy right now. It’s a perfect storm of increased demand and a steel shortage and people who don’t have a clue. Add a challenging labor market where people refuse overtime or jus show up when they want to, and it’s amazing you can get anything. I just had a shipment spend a week in a Texas warehouse for no apparent reason. It’s crazy.

I think you will find a lot of different situations out there. For me it hasn’t been a big deal. I bring in a lot of castings from England …..no problem getting containers… floating isn’t a problem. The only delay is getting the container when it arrives in Detroit to my shop…. As there aren’t enough trucks but that is built into the delivery time. So I have enough inventory on hand.
I think depending on the business and commodity there are issues but to me it seems the majority is okay

I would call it a correction which in my opinion is well over do. The mrkt has smoked it up.

Do you think it’s lack of trucks or drivers?
I saw a news clip about women becoming truck drivers by the droves.

Container shortage in Asia, chassis / truck / rail shortage here. There are so many vessels waiting in LA / Long Beach, (70+)....the anchorage is full and now they are just drifting...this is on top of the employee shortage we are all too familiar with....

My company waited 6 weeks for a container to offloaded from a ship and we just got the container a week and a half ago. It had been sitting outside the harbor that long before it came to port. We are air freighting a LOT more these days.

I purchased a Presto tender lift from Sweden a couple of weeks ago. I had thought, due to the weight, they would ship by boat and planned 3 to 4 week delivery. To my surprise they shipped DHL airfreight (270 pounds) and it was at my doorstep in 3 days after I completed the purchase....

I ordered a throw cushion preserver for the zodiac cause wife said if i go out again without one she gonna stick a knife in zodiac, and it arrived a day early. So supply chain is good by me. Now I can go play on water in morning.
