Yes, No water anywhere except the sump box.
Something is different than my 2000.
First thing, an alarm shouldn’t go off with the shower sump box pumping water out. This is a normal event. There shouldn’t be an alarm. What did it say on the display?

the only thing that drains in my shower sump are:
2 AC units for condensation
Floor drain in bathroom
Shower drain

The system monitor started beeping and display said pump alarm forward emergency. The only place on the boat that had water at all was the sump box. I would pump out the water and the sump would fill back up, with A.C. Off And no water in shower. I know it’s not the bilge alarms, because when I turn on the bilge pumps from the helm the system monitor display shows forward bilge pump or rear bilge pump.

It seemed odd to me that the sump would send an alert. I am new to the whole systems monitor thing, and understanding it.
I may have 2 different issues going on.

"Pump Alarm Fwd Emergency" alarm is ONLY when the float switch and bilge pump turns on in main centerline below floor storage area. This pump/switch is mounted separately and independent of the sump pump box. When you look down just to the rear of the sump pump box you will see the bilge pump/switch. It is possible that what ever water is entering the sump pump box is not being pumped out fast enough and it flows out into the bilge area and turns on the Fwd Emergency Pump thus giving you the alarm.
Simple test is to push the lever on the Fwd bilge pump switch and if the "Fwd Alarm" dispaly comes on then you know what is happening.

Did you check your fresh water tank level to see if it constantly going down without use (Leaking?)

Oh ok, I see it. The owner is out of town, but said his brother can do a virtual tour, so I'll try schedule that ASAP. I just walked away from a Formula based on the engine survey results, so I'm probably a little extra cautious right now...but I agree - in all my searching very very few 380's come up with diesels, so I'll pursue it quickly!

If your set on diesels, look at the 410's, very similar boat and a lot more diesels available. The difference is the 410 adds a second head (and vacuflush pump) is a about 3' longer (most apparent down in the cabin) and a couple inches wider, with some styling changes in the cabin. I think you would be hard pressed to tell the 380 vs 410 apart from a causual glance. We don't use the second head too much, but the aft cabin has a drop down bunk that's good for sleeping more kids if that's an issue.

Both boats are probably some of the best boats in the Sea Ray line.

Thanks for the info.
But there is absolutely no water anywhere except in the shower sump. Everything is bone dry. you can watch the float switch go up in the sump with no A.C. Condensation or Shower draining into it.
Water is coming from somewhere into the sump. Something obviously has been replumbed in the last 21 years since the boat was built.
I just picked the boat up last Friday and drove it 10 hrs back to home port. The issue started while we were traveling.
Looks like I have a little bit of work ahead of me to figure this out.
Thanks for all of the good advice.

yes, sounds like someone midwifed the float on the shower sump with the alarm on the fwd bilge switch…. When the shower sump comes on, it should light up the preen light on the head sink cabinet, next to the toilet.
I can’t imagine how water is getting in there. You would need to pull the cover see what hose the water is coming in and trace it out. Your boat is not stock, doing what you have explained….

Yes midwifed explains it.
The boat surveyed above average to Excellent condition.
This didn’t show up until I owned it.
Just my luck, LOL.
I will figure this out it will just take a while.

The wiring should be simple to both. 12v in to the float switch, Then to the pump. The connection between the switch and the pump will have a third wire that should tie to the alarm (on the regular fwd bilge) or the indicator light (on the shower sump box) in the head.

the inflow of water should be easy also. What hose is it coming in, and where does it go. Mine runs often, every 10 mins from the condensation of the AC, can’t believe it’s that much, but it is. I probably need to investigate some myself….

I just found out that the Helm seat is supposed to raise and lower when you pull the lever under the seat.
My seat is all the way down and won’t go up. Anyone else have this problem?

Mine has that issue, the gas lift has failed. They are expensive from the seat mfg.

I leave mine up all the tie so it is not an issue. You can pull yours up while holding the handle. Don't touch the handle of it will drop!

Thanks
I tried to lift mine but it would not budge. I will try it again this weekend.

The coffe maker was removed from the cabinet in my 2000 380.
it appears that it has screws going thru a piece of wood and into the bottom of the coffee maker. Then that piece of wood is screwed into the bottom of cabinet. I believe that the coffee maker is a Spacemaker ODC 300. I have purchased another one. To replace the missing one.
My question is, there are no screw holes in the bottom of the coffee maker. How did it screw into the bottom of the piece of wood?
Can you just run short screws onto the housing of the coffee maker?

Off the top of my head, I believe the screws through the bottom of the board went through some factory holes in the coffee maker, I have my original in the back garage, let me take a look tomorrow and report back what I find

Thanks Chris
Can you please look and see what the model No. is on the coffee maker also. I think I have the right model but there are no holes in the bottom.

Hard to see a model number, on the back, says cat# odc 025, not sure on the Number…. Here is picks, they are sheet metal or wood screws that are drilled into the bottom
