Power Steering Fluid Leak, Where's the Cooler?

There's a lot of fluid that's not in the resovoir. Best way is to remove the return line, stick it in a container. start the engine and add fluid until the fluid runs clean.
I didn't know that, thank you for the good insight. One less tool I have to bring out the boat!

Any idea how many quarts I would need to do a proper flush/ refill?

Update: I went to change the fluid this past Saturday (the 18th) & sure enough there was a crack in the return line. Once I pulled the line off & bent the hose, fluid starting leaking out everywhere! I didn't see it at first because it only became visible once the line flexed from me removing it from the pump. I cut the hose below the crack & reattached it to the pump. Put in brand new fluid & all appears well! Here's a picture of where the leak was coming from.

Always good to find the smoking gun! If the line's that brittle, I'd highly recommend changing out the entire length, as it'll come back to haunt you.

I'll have to do that in preparation for next year. I don't know how the heck to get to the clamp at the steering cooler. I can see it but getting to it is another story lol do you think the manifolds & risers will need to be removed in order for me to gain access?
