So you got yourself COVID vaccine. Think you can’t get COVID? Think again.

He's full of sh!t.
Exactly. I’ve mentioned a few times lately that @El Capitan ought to get his resume updated. He won’t be stepping foot in any hospitals flashing his vendor-issued certificates that he uses to install casters on the cardiac equipment carts he services.

And as I’ve also mentioned, he’s most likely already vaccinated and just posting his rhetoric so he can sound important.

I know science... Probably better than most... and I'll keep my job.

I don't have a dog in the fight. We do research, design, manufacture and sell medical devices to hospitals. In order for our sales and clinical teams to be in hospitals, they have to be credentialed and get a laundry list of vaccines and tests all the time. It's the nature of the beast. I don't make the rules and the rules were here even before covid. So if you want to work in Medtech, you have to be fully vaccinated or they just don't do business with you. My job description has nothing in it about "fight for social causes." What it does have in it is to build great medical stuff and sell it to hospitals. If you want to be on board, you gotta do what they say. I get letters daily now from hospital systems saying either the on-site employees from our company have to be vaccinated or EVERYONE in our company has to be vaccinated. You think I should stand up and fight and destroy the revenue that feeds the families that depend on this company? Get a clue. If the hospitals say everyone has to do 3 shots of moonshine every Friday... guess what's going to be in your job description?

You can call it hoax. You can blame Biden. You can blame Trump. You can blame rednecks. You can say the vaccine works. You can say the vaccine doesn't work. I just don't care. I have a medical business to run. You have to have to be fully vaccinated for covid. And the flu... and many other things. You may grow an extra penis and lose your eye sight. I just don't care. I have to follow the rules.

Youre so full of BS. I’m in HIT. I don’t take any vaccines not even seasonal flu. I’m in hospitals every week across the country.

People can frame their excuses for their behaviors any way they wish including BS.

I got to fire a guy last week because he refused the vaccine. He was a new employee and as a condition to employment, he had to be fully vaccinated and he shows up and says he had natural immunity because he had covid two times. The irony. Wonder if he got the natural immunity the first time or the second time. Had him escorted out. Terminated for cause.
It’s a shame that China, and now the US Federal as well as some State Governments have put you in that position.

These types of notices are now on almost all hospital credentialing systems:

Maybe you lie on these things? Don't get caught. Do you not deal with hospital credentialing systems? Or know what they are? I'm starting to smell a fake...

No the employee put himself in that position. If you fail to meet conditions of employment you can expect to be fired it's not that difficult.

You ought to read that link yourself. It’s only for Kaiser.

No sh!t sherlock. Every hospital is doing that. I provided that as an example. You want me to post them all? Go look them up yourself. Pick ANY hospital and look up their current policy on vendors. You either have a meaningless job in healthcare (putting castors on carts?) or you are just lying.

Per the link a negative test will suffice...
For that policy and that is only for certain dates until you get the vaccine. After that date, you have to have a religious or medical exemption which we are not giving. Can't provide accommodations for that.

Typical bureaucratic stupidity. My wife is a nurse (vaxxed) who works in a hospital. Hospital mandate is no vax, no job starting October 10. They are estimating that they will lose 20% of the nursing staff on that date. Currently 4 nurses who got the jab are out for minimum 10 days because of positive tests. None of the unvaxed have tested positive recently. So tell me how losing 20% of your work force (and trust me there is nobody looking for jobs in that field), and even after getting the jab employees will miss time due to covid is a smart decision. I foresee small hospitals going out of business due to lack of staff to do patient care. It's gonna happen.

Pure genius. Just like the concerts that require you to be vaxxed and if not, you need to take a negative COVID test. Couldn't a vaxxed person who's positive get in?

Did you care about this? I liked it.

On August 5, following the PATCO workers' refusal to return to work, the Reagan administration fired the 11,345 striking air traffic controllers who had ignored the order, and banned them from federal service for life. ... PATCO was decertified by the Federal Labor Relations Authority on October 22, 1981.

Did any of you hard right Trumpers object to what President Reagan did?

No wonder TDS struck you so hard, a previous case of RDS makes the inflammation several times worse...

I’m not so sure in this climate that the PRO act won’t pass the senate, given that vaccines are a hotter topic than abortion lately. I’m not sure how this decision will play out for labor, and the rights of employers in the future.

It seems like another step in the bankruptcy of America. And, another power grab, taken from the people who run businesses across the board.
