On the front rounded sections of my windshield, the plexiglass is separating from the frame. Has this happened to anyone and any suggestions how to fix this?

Thanks

Mike

Is the isenglass too tight or does it exert a lot of pressure on the frame when underway?

There are no other issues with the boat. The boat has EZ2CY and no it does not seem to be pulling up on the frame in anyway. Hard to say how much pressure is there underway.

The plexiglass does not seem to be glued or held in place in any way to the top frame. If there was pressure or the EZ2CY was tight I can only assume it would pull up. The question is, how do I fix it? I can only assume I have to take the frame off, bend it to straighten it but if it is not held in place by the glass, this will only lead to it being pulled off again. The only other option I can think of is add some sort of supporting bar that mounts to the frame and somewhere below it to hold it in place. Again, I am looking if anyone else had these issues and how was it resolved?

Thanks

Mike

You indicate the windshield is plexiglass. I would expect it to be tempered glass and should be handled with care. Tempered glass is tough but when broken disintegrates into a million small fragments like the side and rear windows of your car. Most of those were made by Taylor and you could contact them.

Do you have a zoomed out photo showing the entire area? Curious what the bottom side of that looks like. Also how big are those plexi panel. Our 42 DB have several sections which appear to be bolted together with the plexi floating in between. Maybe the bottom rubber lining shrunk?

I don't believe the bottom shrunk but the top section of the windshield frame is pulled up causing the separation.
