I have a 2005 390. Had to remove the E120 and replace with Axiom 12. I lost any connectivity with RN 300 GPS and Smartcraft 3.3 depth readings. My DSM 300 has the transducer connection which connected to the E120. Is there any way to connect my through hull transducer with the above devices so I can view my depth?

Thanks in advance.

If no one here has an answer try doing a search on Facebook for “raymarine electronics users”. I think there are raymarine employees on that group.

Or better yet; https://forum.raymarine.com/

I think they locked that forum to new posts. But a search might find the answer

I will try Raymarine. Thanks

When we upgraded our E120s to Axiom Pros all I needed was an adapter cable to connect the transducer directly to one of the Axioms. Depending on the model you have you may be able to do this as well. The Smartcraft data got imported through a NMEA0183 connection on your old 120. You can duplicate that with the Axiom, or get a Mercruiser adapter to port the data to NMEA2000 and plug it into a Raymarine SeatalkNG network that you should have.

I registered in July and have not been able to make a post. Plus when you go there is a pop up that says it’s been locked? Shrug.

Registering gives you access to the threads. RM shut down the forum, but left it in place as an archive. In reality it was more of an expanding FAQ than forum like CSR; RM users would post a question and RM customer service people answered the question. No to limited input by users and very little digression on the threads. If the answer sparked a new question, you had to start a new thread.

PO of my boat put my DSM on a NMEA 2k Network. There are adaptors for it.
Regarding Raymarine, the forum is closed but their customer service by email is alive and kicking.

I have had good luck with Raymarine Electronics Users group on facebook

Raymarine suggested to get a adapter A80489 to connect the transducer directly to the Axiom. I have ordered it.

You don't need the RN300 anymore, the Axiom has a built in albeit weak GPS. An improvement would be to replace the existing GPS Antenna with an RS150 GPS. The RS150 is a network GPS, so you will need a NEMA2000/SeaTalkNG back bone and drop cable to make it work.

The above cable should get you connected directly to the transducer as far as a fish finder goes.

I don't have smart raft, so cant help you there.

Any other equipment? Maybe an autopilot or depth Guage? These might have been on SeaTalk network, and there are converters. Again you will need a NEMA2000 / SeaTallNG backbone and appropriate drop cable to get the data passing.
