Brunswick selling off Sea Ray brand

I went on the Formula 38 SSC with triple 350's at the St Pete boat show last year and LOVED it. Yes, it depends on what you want out of a boat. For me I want more than a day boat but less than a long-term cruiser. Something big enough to take some water and sleep on occasionally that still has some get up and go but also have the draft to pull up to a sandbar. I loved the platform which was huge and I liked the leaning post at it's aft edge way more than I expected. It was like the Swiss Army Knife of cruisers.

If I had the $900K sitting around I'd have already ordered it in the color I want. BTW, with Formula you don't get the same fading as you do with dark color gelcoats as they're painted with high-end Imron paint and clearcoat. You can look at older Formulas and many still have a beautiful shine.

But that's the glory of having choices. To each their own.
My dock neighbor that has a new 40' Formula with quad 350's ordered the 500ssc with quad 600's....he is expecting it next spring....at $3M ...I dont think fuel consumption is an issue

On another note have any of you fished behind any of those 3 or 4 engines outboard boats? I have and think it's a pain in the ass. All those engines and props to snag lines on and oh by the way you also need to run the spread much farther back to get out of the prop wash into clean water.
