You still haven't answered my question... do we routinely test asymptomatic people for strep throat?

Many older friends have gotten it and it has been a non event for them. Only one I know has it bad and they received no treatment from their hospital visits. A common theme I'm seeing with many of these recent deaths are the vent...

Do some digging into remdesivir and it's effects.

Not what I said in my original post. There has never been another time in all of history we've tested healthy people... and with shitty tests too!

The more people tested the more accurate the data becomes. Would you prefer to live in the dark?

I even listed the tests for you others have pointed out to that when you had your yearly physical you had blood tests and they run at least a dozen tests. Gave you a link to one of the best hospitals in the country with 11 pages on tests that are preformed to diagnose unknown conditions but you refuse to accept even 1 of them. Did your wife have pregnancy test when she thought she was pregnant? Your still on the political kick and I don't see you getting over it any time soon.

Interesting you mention that I have been watching Texas reported numbers on Covid.
Each day they report low numbers but their reported deaths from Covid is very high. Sat Aug 28 10,260 confirmed cases and 261 deaths. Florida 21,189 and 11 deaths.
Our clubhouse in Lakeland Florida has gone back to mandatory masks . The POA is also talking about a vote on being full vaccinated to come to the different events.
 
The world seems out of place. I have a friend since the mid 60ies we went to college together. He has new wife and they have announced they only are receiving vaccinated tested visitors in their house; but they go to restaurants and church. I have a group of friends age 72 to 89. We meet every Friday and tell stories about how great we are. Most are vaccinated. No one asks if any one is vaccinated. If you want to divulged your status you can but no one asks. We are smart enough to realize if feeling sick do not come until you are well. The media, self proclaimed experts and government representative have created a vax non vax society. It seems like segregation in the 50ies. At this point their seems to be no solution.

No it is not. HOWEVER, to the unlucky few pct. it's a fkg nightmare. Guy on my dock was out for 4 months and on a hear monitor. Still looks like chit. My Office Manager has been out for 4 months and probably two more with various issues. There is a 90+% chance you'll be fine. The other 10-% are in a world of hurt.

The problem is they botched the testing because it became political. If they would have acted like the scientists and Drs they claim to be, they would have looked at these drugs, cheap and inexpensive, and tested them as an early treatment. There is some pretty decent evidece that they can possibly help, more than they could harm.

That's not true either. Not everybody will be susceptible to any adverse effects of the vaccine.

Now I do agree we can do better with the testing. The the freaking case number give something for the media to create panic with.

Flattening out the rate of new infections and hospitalizations, but the rate is at an all time high and the hospitalization rate is higher than the discharge rate. It needs to drop to a much lower level.

Meet fluvoxamine. Pursued as a potential therapy by (gasp) Canadians, it appears to have a great deal of promise as a cheap and easy to take therapy that could be a game-changer. Fluvoxamine broke out as effective in a trial that also tested hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, neither of which was shown to be effective, in this trial or others. Like both of those, fluvoxamine has been around a long time so the risks are known.
How a cheap antidepressant emerged as a promising Covid-19 treatment
Most Covid-19 drug treatments that have been included in trials haven’t panned out. A large new study suggests fluvoxamine might be different.

If fluvoxamine continues to pan out, it will be interesting to see whether the same folks who are now upset about the therapies that don't work will embrace it.
 
Might as well add my rant to this thread. I’ll just say people on both sides are just ridiculous. First the COVID vaccine. Did anyone honestly believe this vaccine would put a force field around you? I mean it’s raced to market for one and considering they make new flu shots every year and those still aren’t absolute why on earth would you think this was? So again get the shot or not. Much like the flu shot you know your risks.
Second the mask debate. People who don’t want to wear them and hide behind my civil rights are violated should just get whacked in the head. I mean a business puts up a sign that says no shirt no shoes no service. I didn’t see anyone line up to defend their civil rights. Why you ask? Cause it’s a public health issue get it? So if you don’t want to wear your shirt and shoes in the store, please boycott those as well.
The little that is asked and how ridiculously people have responded is just crazy
